What tests can check immunity

A person's immunity is closely related to the body's chance of getting sick. People with strong immunity generally have a greatly reduced chance of getting diseases such as colds. So in a sense, if you want to prevent the occurrence of colds, you must improve your own immunity. And everyone's immunity is different. Some people may wonder, if they want to know the exact status of their body's immunity, how should they detect it?

What tests can check immunity?

Immune function tests mainly observe two indicators. One is to check the levels of various immunoglobulins through blood tests, such as IgM, IgG, IgA, IgE, etc., to see if the levels are normal. If the levels are too low, the humoral immune function is low and the disease resistance is low.

The second is to conduct blood tests or skin tests to observe immune cells and their proportions, as well as various lymphokines, such as CD4, CD8, CD4/CD8, interleukins and skin tests. CD4 cells account for about 45%, the CD4/CD8 ratio is about 1.5~2, and CD8 cells account for about 25%, which is normal. If the CD4/CD8 ratio is significantly reduced, the ability to defend against viruses and tumors will be low.

What is immunity testing?

1. Mild cases of reduced immunity are mainly judged by clinical manifestations. When the human immune system is out of balance or the immune system is not sound, diseases such as colds, tonsillitis, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, diarrhea, and allergies will recur. At this time, it is best to see a doctor to check your baby's immunity.

2. Severe immunodeficiency, which is what medicine calls immunodeficiency. Immunodeficiency can be detected through laboratory tests, and the laboratory indicators detected are objective. Through testing of cellular immunity, humoral immunity, and phagocytic function, 80% of immune deficiencies can be detected.

In short, whether adults or children, whether men or women, we need to improve our immunity and increase the body's resistance to make us healthier. Only when our immunity is improved can we keep diseases away from us and protect our health. I hope this article can help you.
