Because the digestive function is poor after illness, while the body's nutritional needs will increase, many nutrients are often lost in large quantities due to vomiting, diarrhea, excessive water intake or taking diuretics. The best way to solve this dilemma and continue to replenish nutrition is to eat small meals frequently. However, 25% of the total calories must come from fat, so you should pay attention to digesting the food you eat as much as possible each time.

Even for healthy people, eating small and frequent meals is beneficial to the cardiovascular system. Czech scientists conducted an experimental study on 1,400 people aged 60 to 64 who were under normal calorie supply conditions. Among them, 668 people ate 1 to 2 meals a day, and one in every three people suffered from different types of cardiovascular diseases; 156 people divided the same amount of food into 5 times, that is, 5 meals a day, and the total amount remained unchanged. The number of people suffering from cardiovascular diseases was 1/6, which was 13.3% lower than the incidence rate of eating 3 meals a day.

In fact, eating small meals frequently alone will not form a physique that is easy to lose weight. If you want to lose weight, you must exercise more, eat more alkaline foods, drink more water, develop a good habit of going to bed early and getting up early, and try not to eat any midnight snacks, because eating at night can easily lead to accumulation, which will become fat over time.
