What are the complications of diffuse mesothelioma

Many diseases have many types, such as common colds and coughs. Diffuse mesothelioma is a type of mesothelioma. Of course, different disease symptoms and treatment methods are very different for everyone. Nowadays, many people are always busy with their work and don’t know much about these things, so they often encounter troubles. So let’s take a look at the complications of diffuse mesothelioma.

1. Asbestosis is a chronic, progressive, diffuse, irreversible pulmonary interstitial fibrosis, pleural plaque formation and pleural hypertrophy caused by long-term inhalation of asbestos dust, which seriously damages the patient's lung function and can significantly increase the incidence of lung and pleural malignant tumors.

2. Bronchial lung cancer is a common tumor of the respiratory tract. For early non-small cell lung cancer confirmed by fiberoptic bronchoscopy, endoscopic photodynamic therapy can achieve complete cure. For some mid- to late-stage cancers, this therapy can achieve the palliative purpose of clearing the lumen and improving respiratory function. Some patients may also achieve the positive effect of controlling the disease and creating conditions for surgical resection.

3. Pleural disease is a summary of pleural diseases. The pleura is a thin, translucent membrane-like structure that covers the inner surface of the chest wall and the surface of the lungs and mediastinum. The pleura covering the surface of the lungs and diaphragm is called the visceral pleura, and the layer covering the pleura and mediastinal organs is called the parietal pleura. These two layers of pleura continue at the hilum of the lung, forming a potential cavity called the pleural cavity. Pleural diseases include diseases originating in the pleura, mainly pleural mesothelioma, and also include abnormal conditions in the pleural cavity. Such as empyema, hemothorax, pleural effusion, etc.

4. There is a potential space between the visceral layer and the parietal layer of the pleura, which is called the pleural cavity. Under normal circumstances, the width between the two layers of pleura in the pleural cavity is about 10 to 20 μm, and it contains serous fluid, about 0.1 to 0.2 ml per kilogram of body weight. It is usually colorless and transparent, and plays a role in lubricating the pleura. Its exudation and reabsorption are in a state of equilibrium. Any factor that causes an increase in exudation and/or a decrease in reabsorption will result in fluid accumulation in the pleural cavity, forming a pleural effusion.

I hope that this detailed introduction to the complications of diffuse mesothelioma can attract patients' attention. Generally, complications are caused by long-term inability to cure. Complications have a great impact on the patient's body and are more difficult to treat. I hope that when patients encounter diseases, they must seek early treatment to be responsible for their own bodies.
