Children are particularly prone to spinal curvature as they grow. For the healthy growth of children, parents must pay attention to helping their children maintain a good sitting posture. If spinal curvature occurs, it should be corrected as soon as possible. It can be corrected by wearing a back brace, or you can go to the hospital to consult a specialized orthopedic surgeon. So what is the correct way to correct the spine? A normal spine should be straight when viewed from the back. If the spine is abnormally bent to both sides, it is called scoliosis, and its main manifestations are: increasing tilt of the tibia, asymmetric posture, unequal lengths of hands and lower limbs, tense stretching of muscle tissue on the convex side, and weakness of muscle tissue on the concave side. Scoliosis has a process of occurrence and development; it does not appear out of thin air. There are many causes of scoliosis. It may be a congenital structural defect, such as problems with the spine itself, twists in the spine, existing rotational structures, acute injuries somewhere, or congenital abnormalities of a vertebra, all of which may cause spinal curvature. In addition, many bad postures and bad habits, such as lying down to read, hunching over to do homework, and watching TV with a tilted neck, will put pressure on the spine, and the spine is prone to scoliosis over time. If you like to carry a single-shoulder bag or heavy things on one shoulder, or if you have suffered an injury and accidentally injured your spine but did not seek examination and treatment, your spine may become deformed and curved. If you have symptoms of back pain, shoulder and neck pain, they will automatically improve after resting for a while. If you look in the mirror and find that you have slightly uneven shoulders, you can do some self-correction exercises. After getting up or before going to bed, lie on your back on the hard bed, then raise your hands up, shake them gently for 30 seconds, then put them down and rest for a while. Repeat 10 times. This can coordinate the autonomic nerves on both sides of the spine. If after a day's work you suffer from persistent back pain, weakness in your hands and feet, soreness in your shoulders and neck, and friends around you notice that one of your shoulders is noticeably higher than the other, this indicates that your scoliosis is severe. You should seek corrective treatment from a professional doctor promptly to prevent the scoliosis from getting worse. The treatment of scoliosis requires early intervention, the earlier the treatment, the better the effect. Especially in adolescence, because the bones are in the development stage, the correction effect will be better. |
