Why is my heart beating so fast?

When people are nervous, fearful, etc., their heart rate often increases, but this is a natural physiological phenomenon. After they calm down, their heart rate will naturally return to normal. However, some pathological diseases can also cause the heart rate to increase, which has a great impact on the patient's health. So why does the heart beat so quickly?

There are many reasons for a rapid heartbeat, hyperthyroidism and anemia are very common, but these will cause the heartbeat to continue to increase, and the heartbeat will slow down after the disease is cured. If your heart rate only speeds up occasionally for a period of time, it may be related to a recent cold, low blood pressure, mood changes, or taking certain medications. A fast heartbeat will inevitably lead to poor sleep. To be on the safe side, you can go to the hospital for a cardiac ultrasound, electrocardiogram, and myocardial enzyme test. If they are all normal, you don't need to worry too much about the temporary rapid heartbeat.

After evaluation and diagnostic tests, your doctor will decide on treatment based on how your symptoms affect your life (such as frequent fainting without warning) and whether your arrhythmia is getting worse or causing other complications. Some arrhythmias do not require treatment. You can effectively improve the symptoms by maintaining a regular lifestyle, relaxing, being less angry, properly adjusting your emotions and stress, and avoiding sources of sympathetic nerve stimulation such as tobacco, alcohol, coffee, cola, and tea.

When arrhythmia is accompanied by problems such as hypertension, coronary artery obstruction or heart failure, in addition to treating the arrhythmia, these cardiovascular problems must also be treated together. There are many types of antiarrhythmic drugs. Doctors will choose appropriate drugs based on the type of arrhythmia and the cause of the heart disease. If you feel uncomfortable after taking this type of drug, you should tell your doctor immediately, because antiarrhythmic drugs can sometimes induce new arrhythmias. For heart rhythm arrhythmias caused by slow heartbeat, a pacemaker can be installed.

When your heart beats very fast, you must not be careless. You should go to a regular hospital as soon as possible for relevant examinations and diagnosis and treatment. Once the condition is confirmed, you must actively seek treatment, follow the doctor's instructions, choose a method that suits you to treat the disease, and avoid other complications.
