Causes of glomerular hematuria

Causes of glomerular hematuria

In fact, the incidence of many diseases nowadays has become relatively high, and they are gradually becoming younger. This is definitely not good for the human body, especially if you suffer from glomerular hematuria. Let us understand the causes of glomerular hematuria.

main reason:

Glomerular hematuria, commonly known as renal hematuria, refers to hematuria originating from the glomeruli. Clinically, it manifests as simple hematuria or hematuria with proteinuria. It is more common in primary glomerular diseases, such as IgA nephropathy, mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis, focal glomerulosclerosis, renal cysts, polycystic kidneys, and can also be seen in secondary glomerular diseases such as purpuric nephritis and lupus nephritis.

The pathogenesis of renal hematuria is currently believed by the medical community to be related to immunity, that is, the antigen-antibody complex is deposited in the glomerular basement membrane and mesangial area, destroying the filtration barrier of the glomerular basement membrane, while causing proliferation of mesangial cells and mesangial matrix, causing renal hematuria.

Normal people have no red blood cells or only occasional individual red blood cells in their urine. If blood enters the urine and there are more than 2 red blood cells per high-power field of view under the microscope in the urine after centrifugation, it is called hematuria. Hematuria is divided into renal hematuria and non-renal hematuria. Many people think that hematuria does not need to be treated. We believe that the cause of renal hematuria must be eliminated, because long-term lesions of the glomerular basement membrane can also lead to glomerular sclerosis, causing kidney damage. Therefore, renal hematuria must be treated early.

Glomerular hematuria: seen in acute or chronic glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis, lupus nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and cyst rupture of polycystic kidney. In case of nephrogenic hematuria, there is often a significant increase in urine protein, but not a significant increase in red blood cells. It is also often accompanied by casts, such as granular casts, red blood cell casts, and renal tubular epithelial cell casts.

The above article gives you a detailed introduction to the causes of glomerular hematuria. I believe you have a preliminary understanding of it. Therefore, in your daily life, if you have such a situation, you need to go to the hospital for further examination.
