3 Differential diagnosis

Capillary lymphoma needs to be differentiated from capillary hemangioma and certain other diseases that present as blister-like skin lesions (such as herpes zoster). Lymphangioma and simple lymphangiectasia are difficult to distinguish. Histological examination shows that both are dilated lymphatic cavities of varying sizes, surrounded by a matrix of fat and fibrous tissue.

4 Treatment

If the capillary lymphangioma is small and asymptomatic, it generally does not require treatment. If necessary, the following methods can be used:

1. For those with smaller areas, cryosurgery, laser or electrical desiccation treatment is recommended.

2. If the area is large and affects the appearance and function, excision and skin grafting can be performed.
