What should you do if you suffer from moderate periodontitis?

Nowadays, in this popular era, the Internet is everywhere, and with it come many buzzwords, such as foodie, which refers to friends who love to eat. For those friends who love to go to various places and eat various kinds of food, you must take good care of your teeth, otherwise periodontitis will come to you and it will become more and more serious. So what should you do if you suffer from moderate periodontitis? Let me share this with you today.

With everyone's questions, let us understand what periodontitis is. The most common symptoms of periodontal disease are bleeding gums and loose teeth in the late stage. It is known as the "silent killer of dental health". The earliest symptom of periodontal disease is gingivitis, which is characterized by red and swollen gums and bleeding when brushing teeth.

With timely treatment, this stage can be cured. If not treated promptly, the inflammation will further develop, causing deep alveolar bone resorption and developing into periodontitis. Mild periodontitis can cause red and swollen gums, and bleeding when brushing teeth; moderate periodontitis can cause chewing weakness, bad breath, receding gums, exposed tooth roots, and swollen and painful gums, the so-called "getting angry"; severe periodontitis can cause loose teeth, displacement, pain, pus discharge, and eventually tooth loss. The treatment of moderate periodontitis is mainly local treatment. First, the tartar above the gums is removed, then the tartar in the periodontal pockets is removed, and the diseased cementum in the periodontal pockets containing a large amount of bacterial toxins is scraped off. After these treatments, the redness and swelling of the gums can subside, and the bleeding gums and pus in the periodontal pockets can disappear.

After the periodontal pocket is formed, it is usually treated with drugs. Various drugs, such as iodine glycerin, compound iodine solution or antibacterial drugs, can be placed in the periodontal pocket to maintain a high drug concentration in the periodontal pocket, eliminate various bacteria in the periodontal pocket, and achieve the effects of bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and astringent. Through the introduction, we all know that if it develops into moderate periodontitis, we should not ignore it. We should go to the hospital to see a dentist as soon as possible to save the teeth. Teeth are people’s second face. If the teeth are treated, they will not only be healthy but also beautiful, and people will become very confident.
