What is the method for uric acid testing

Nowadays, as people’s quality of life continues to improve, more and more people are suffering from high uric acid levels! A large number of patients do not know how to detect the uric acid content in life. Patients must know what the uric acid detection method is, so that they can check their own health problems in time, discover physical problems in time, seek medical treatment as soon as possible, and recover as soon as possible.

If uric acid is allowed to increase, it may lead to gout, causing great inconvenience to yourself and your family's daily life. So, today, Shanghai expert Zhu Jianfu will teach you how to detect the uric acid content in your body!

Now that we know that high uric acid levels bring serious consequences to ourselves, how should we check it in our daily lives? What is the method for uric acid testing?

1. Routine examination of uric acid in gout patients. There is generally no change in the early stage of the disease. If the kidneys are affected, there may be proteinuria, hematuria, pyuria, and occasionally tubular urine. If complicated with kidney stones, obvious hematuria may be seen, and acidic urinary stones may also be excreted.

2. Routine blood tests and erythrocyte sedimentation rate are used as examinations for acute attacks of gout in patients with gout. The peripheral blood leukocyte count is elevated, usually (10-20)×109/L, and rarely exceeds 20×109/L. Neutrophil counts increased accordingly. People with decreased renal function may have mild to moderate anemia. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate increases, usually less than 60 mm/h.

3. Blood uric acid measurement in gout patients as a test for gout: During the acute attack period, the serum uric acid level of most patients is elevated. It is generally believed that the uricase method is 416 μmol/L (7 mg/dl) for men and >357 μmol/L (6 mg/dl) for women.

4. X-ray examination, CT and MRI examinations for gout patients: Tophi deposited in the joints appear as spot-like images of varying grayscale in CT scans, depending on the degree of their graying.

5. For gout patients, uric acid content measurement is used as a standard: in the case of a purine-free diet and without taking drugs that affect uric acid excretion, the total blood uric acid level of a normal male adult does not exceed 3.54mmol/(600mg/24h).

After understanding the above 5 points, patients can also have an understanding and knowledge of how to check uric acid in daily life. When you find out that your body has high uric acid, you still need to go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment.

Uric acid will be affected by your daily diet and medication, and the impact is a large part. What is the method for uric acid testing? Patients should test it in time. If the test result shows that the uric acid level is very high, it is recommended that patients have another check-up. This is also to be responsible for their own health. Patients must receive timely treatment and recover as soon as possible.
