Daily health care for the liver

The main principle of liver health care should be to maintain normal liver function and sufficient liver blood. There are several ways to maintain liver health.

1. Maintain a normal weight

The fat in the liver will decrease along with the fat in the body. It is recommended to do moderate-intensity aerobic exercise 5 times a week, about 30 minutes each time. You also need to have a balanced diet according to your actual situation.

2. Stop drinking

Quitting drinking is currently the most effective measure to protect the liver. Studies have found that for patients with alcoholic fatty liver disease, the fat in the liver can be significantly improved about 10 days after quitting drinking.

3. Don’t take medicine randomly

Take medications as directed by your doctor and avoid taking combination medications. For example, many cold medicines, including Chinese patent medicines, contain acetaminophen. If you take more than two cold medicines at the same time, the total amount of acetaminophen you ingest will unknowingly exceed the standard.

4. Pay attention to your sleep time

The liver and gallbladder begin metabolism at 11 o'clock in the evening. Falling asleep at this time can allow the liver to repair itself and minimize adverse effects. Sitting quietly for 10 to 30 minutes after a meal before exercising can ensure normal liver metabolism. Staying up late, playing games for a long time, playing mahjong continuously, etc. are all bad habits that damage the liver in daily life. To regulate the liver, you must keep a regular schedule and go to bed early and get up early.

5. Peace of mind

To keep your liver healthy, you must also learn to maintain a good mood, try your best to be calm, optimistic and cheerful, so that the liver qi can grow normally and smoothly.
