The hazards of noise

With the development of science and technology, there is more and more noise in modern life, such as the noise from cars, the noise from tweeters, etc., which has reduced the quality of life of people. In what aspects does noise pollution harm our health and how serious is the harm? Let's discuss this issue with you. Noise causes great harm not only to people's body but also to their spirit.

Noise refers to the sound with chaotic changes in pitch and intensity, which sounds inharmonious. The greatest harm to people's health is hearing. Studies have shown that if people stay in a rock concert hall for half an hour, their hearing will be damaged. If they live in a noise environment of more than 80 decibels for a long time, half of the people will become deaf. Noise can seriously damage people's hearing organs.

In addition, since the ears and eyes are closely related, noise can actually act on people's visual organs through the auditory organs, thereby causing decreased vision. This is by no means sensational but has been medically verified. Noise also causes great damage to the human cardiovascular system. It has been scientifically proven that for every one decibel increase in noise in residential areas, the possibility of residents suffering from high blood pressure increases by 3%.

For people who work under long-term noise, the noise will stimulate the nervous system and cause symptoms such as headaches, tinnitus, decreased vision, dizziness and memory loss, which are all manifestations of neurasthenia. When people are sleeping soundly, if a noise of 60 decibels suddenly occurs, 70% of them will wake up. Noise pollution is more harmful to pregnant women, causing endocrine disorders and mental stress.

It may even cause fetal hypoxia and ischemia, fetal malformations, and in the most serious cases, miscarriage. It will also have a direct impact on the fetus in the womb, seriously damaging the fetus's hearing, affecting the development of the fetal brain, and causing the baby to have mental retardation. In addition, noise can cause excessive secretion of adrenaline in the human body, which can greatly accelerate the heartbeat and even lead to attacks of various heart diseases.
