There are not many families in our country that have air purifiers now, but it is a must. The air has been seriously polluted, and there will be some residual gases in the interior decoration, which are harmful to our bodies. In today's society, air purifiers are becoming more and more popular. Air purifiers have many functions, and we should pay attention to many things when purchasing them. Air purifiers are very necessary in our current society. There are more and more indoor activities, and some people like indoor sports very much. There is also a lot of indoor pollution, such as bathroom pollution and decoration pollution. These all need air purifiers to purify. 1. Filter PM2.5 PM2.5 is mainly filtered through HEPA, HEPA (High efficiency particulate air Filter), which means high-efficiency air filter in Chinese. HEPA filter is composed of a stack of continuous folded sub-glass fiber membranes to form a wavy gasket for placing and supporting the filter medium. It has strong ability to capture particles, small pore size, large adsorption capacity, high purification efficiency, and water absorption. The purification rate for particles of 0.3 microns is 99.97%. That is to say, only 3 particles out of every 10,000 particles can penetrate the HEPA filter membrane. HEPA is an internationally recognized high-efficiency filter material. Initially, HEPA was used for protection in nuclear energy research and is now widely used in precision laboratories, pharmaceutical production, atomic research, surgical operations and other places that require high cleanliness. 2. Remove odor and volatile organic compounds (VOC) 1) Cold catalyst filtration Cold catalyst is a new type of air purification material that can catalyze reactions under normal temperature conditions. It can decompose a variety of harmful odorous gases into harmless and odorless substances at normal temperature and pressure, transforming simple physical adsorption into chemical adsorption, adsorbing and decomposing at the same time, removing harmful gases such as formaldehyde, benzene, xylene, toluene, TVOC, and generating water and carbon dioxide. During the catalytic reaction, the cold catalyst itself does not directly participate in the reaction. After the reaction, the cold catalyst does not change or lose, and can play a long-term role. 2) Activated carbon filtration Activated carbon has better gas dynamic properties, small volume density, large surface area, high adsorption efficiency, small wind resistance and long life. Its principle is to rely on the carbon's own developed pore structure and surface area, which can be in contact with the surrounding air to a large extent, and passively adsorb pollutants into its own pores. Therefore, the larger the surface of the activated carbon and the more developed the pore structure, the stronger the adsorption capacity. Theoretical research has shown that the larger the molecular weight of harmful substances, the easier it is to be adsorbed by activated carbon. For example, the molecular weight of benzene is 78 and the molecular weight of formaldehyde is 30, and the adsorption of benzene will be stronger. 3. Antibacterial and sterilizing It mainly uses nano-silver antibacterial net to play the role of antibacterial and sterilization. Its main principles are: 1) Contact reaction More than 99% of harmful bacteria are single-celled; and single-celled bacteria must rely on the oxidation of oxygen metabolic enzymes to respire; the oxidation process of oxygen metabolic enzymes is the process of taking an electron from neutral particles. When the nanosilver particles are close to the bacteria, due to Coulomb attraction, the nanosilver particles will be adsorbed on the bacterial surface and enter the bacterial body; the bacterial oxygen metabolism enzyme will seize an electron in the nanosilver particles, thereby turning the nanosilver particles into positively charged silver ions; the positively charged silver ions react with the negatively charged thiol groups in the bacterial protease, and the protease quickly loses its activity due to the loss of the thiol group, resulting in the bacteria being unable to divide and reproduce and being killed. When the bacteria lose their activity, silver ions will be released from the bacteria and repeat the bactericidal activity, so its antibacterial effect is long-lasting. 2) Photocatalytic reaction Under the action of light, silver can play the role of catalytic active center, activate oxygen in water and air, produce hydroxyl free radicals (.0H) and active oxygen ions (O2+). Active oxygen ions have strong oxidizing ability and can destroy the proliferation ability of bacteria in a short time and cause cell death. 4. Negative ions In nature, plant photosynthesis, waterfalls, and lightning can all produce negative air ions. People liken the negative ions in the air to "vitamins in the air." Negative ions mainly use strong electrostatic fields to ionize molecules in the air to release free electrons, which then combine with oxygen molecules in the air to form negative oxygen ions. At the same time, they combine with pathogenic cells in the air to change the internal structure of the cells and cause them to die. It also causes the inhaled particles such as formaldehyde, toluene, smoke and dust in the air to gather and settle naturally, thus achieving the purpose of purification. It continuously provides strong negative oxygen ions, effectively activating the oxygen molecules in the air, making the air around you full of vitality, easier to be absorbed by the human body, and very beneficial to human health. 4. Why does air need to be purified? 1. Upper respiratory tract infection There are a lot of particles, dust, pollutants, viruses, etc. floating in the air. Once inhaled by the human body, they will irritate and damage the respiratory mucosa, dry out the nasal cavity, destroy the defense ability of the respiratory mucosa, and allow bacteria to enter the respiratory tract, which can easily cause upper respiratory tract infections. 2. Bronchial asthma The level of air pollution is more serious than usual, and the air often carries bacteria and viruses, which can easily lead to the spread of infectious diseases and the occurrence of various diseases. In particular, air pollutants are not easy to spread in cities, which increases the toxicity of substances such as sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides, and will seriously threaten human life and health. Dust and smoke are floating in the air, and dust mites may also be suspended in the mist. When bronchial asthma patients inhale these allergens, it will irritate their respiratory tract and cause asthma symptoms such as coughing, stuffiness, and difficulty breathing. 3. Rickets in children The Environmental Institute of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention has spent a year conducting research on the impact of haze on human health and found that in addition to causing an increase in the incidence/hospitalization rate of respiratory diseases, haze weather also has some indirect effects on human health. The emergence of haze will weaken the radiation of ultraviolet rays. If haze occurs frequently, it will affect the synthesis of vitamin D in the human body, lead to a high incidence of rickets in children, and enhance the activity of infectious bacteria in the air. 5. Product Selection There are many types of air purifiers available in the market, ranging from a few hundred yuan to a few thousand yuan. Generally speaking, the filter-type air purifiers have more mature technology and higher cost performance. There are several aspects to pay attention to when choosing: 1. Relatively comprehensive functions: In addition to filtering PM2.5, it can also remove odors and volatile organic compounds, resist bacteria, kill bacteria, and release high-concentration negative ions, so the purification effect will be better 2. Purification indicators: Usually choose PM2.5 removal rate of 99%, odor, formaldehyde, toluene average more than 97%, release of negative ion concentration of 10 million. If there are relevant technical certifications, they are all better machines. 3. Air quality detection sensor: This instrument is a high-precision instrument. Currently, the most ideal one produced by General Electric (GE) in the United States has sensitive detection and high accuracy. 4. Choice of filter: Imported filters are relatively better, but more expensive. The effect will not be much different from domestic ones. Since filters are consumables and need to be replaced regularly, you don’t necessarily need to import them when choosing. 5. Choice of purification area: Choose the corresponding purifier according to your office and home area. Usually, the larger the purification area, the more expensive it is. Just choose the appropriate one. The role of air purifiers is reflected in many aspects. It is necessary to install an air purifier in your home, especially in a newly renovated house. Some residual formaldehyde in the room will exist for many years, which is very harmful to our body and may also cause miscarriage in pregnant women. We should pay attention to the air we breathe and live in fresher air. |
