Immunoglobulin A

Immunoglobulin A

The human body needs many elements, and it is necessary to supplement the nutritional elements of the human body in a comprehensive way. The best way to supplement is food. There are many kinds of food, and they contain a lot of protein, vitamins, fats, amino acids and other trace elements. Therefore, food selection is the best choice to supplement the nutritional elements of the human body. What is immunoglobulin A?

Many people don’t know much about immunoglobulin A, so they are not very clear about its function. Therefore, in order to improve it, it is necessary to have a good understanding of it so that you can choose it with confidence.

Immunoglobulin A functions:

IgA is divided into serotype and secretory type. Serotype IgA can mediate opsonophagocytic ADCC effects; secretory IgA (SIgA) is the main component of the body's mucosal defense system, covering the surface of the nasal, pharyngeal, tracheal, intestinal and bladder mucosa. It can inhibit the attachment of microorganisms to the respiratory epithelium and slow down viral reproduction. It is an important barrier to the mucosa. It has antibody activity against certain viruses, bacteria and general antigens, and is the first line of defense to prevent pathogens from invading the body. When foreign antigens enter the respiratory or digestive tract and the local immune system is stimulated, it can mount an immune response and produce secretory antibodies, namely SIgA, without the participation of the central immune system. Studies have shown that the level of SigA in respiratory secretions directly affects the resistance of the respiratory mucosa to pathogens, and the two are positively correlated.

1. Bind to viruses or bacterial toxins, thereby preventing them from entering or destroying cells;

2. Attach to the flagella of bacteria, making them less active and more easily engulfed by macrophages.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of immunoglobulin A, so we can rest assured when choosing it. However, it should be noted that when it appears too little or abnormal, the body will have obvious changes. At this time, you need to go to the hospital for examination in time to see what the specific cause is.
