Why do I sweat easily?

Why do I sweat easily?

Under normal circumstances, everyone will sweat, especially when exercising or doing physical labor in high temperatures. Generally speaking, this kind of sweating is a normal phenomenon, but some people will sweat a lot after a little exercise. Generally, this kind of sweating is likely caused by physical weakness or illness. There are many reasons for sweating.

Why do I sweat frequently?

Because of the sky

Sweating caused by qi and environmental reasons is considered static sweat, while abnormal static sweat needs attention, such as spontaneous sweating and night sweats. You sweat without feeling hot or exercising, and are easily tired, catch a cold, and feel anxious. You are especially afraid of wind and cold. This is called spontaneous sweating, which is a manifestation of qi deficiency. You can choose yam, soy milk, beef and mutton in your diet. Sweating as soon as you fall asleep at night is called night sweats, which is a sign of yin deficiency. People of this type can eat more yin-nourishing foods such as lily and pear, and less hot foods such as mutton, onion, scallion, ginger, garlic, etc. They can also drink water soaked with Adenophora, Ophiopogon japonicus, Schisandra chinensis or American ginseng.

Diseases can also be identified based on the location of sweating. Excessive sweating on the forehead and face is a sign of food accumulation, which can be relieved by reducing food intake and eating a light diet. Excessive sweating in the palms and soles, accompanied by dry mouth and throat, etc., is mostly a sign of yin deficiency and heat. If it is accompanied by abdominal distension and pain, it is mostly a sign of heat syndrome with fecal accumulation in the intestines, and a laxative is needed. Excessive sweating in the pit of the stomach and chest is more common in some people who do mental work, often accompanied by loss of appetite and poor sleep, which can be relieved by jogging, Tai Chi, etc.

Moreover, some external manifestations of sweat, such as smell and color, are also very important. If the sweat smells fishy, it is related to heat syndrome or damp-heat syndrome, generally due to liver heat. You can eat a light diet, or drink Chinese medicine such as chrysanthemum in water. Some people's sweat is blue, cyan, cyan, red or yellow, which is called color sweat. People who have been injected with methylene blue may have blue sweat, those who have green sweat should consider steel poisoning, and those who have red sweat may have taken potassium iodide.

Some people sweat a lot, whether it is summer or winter, they often sweat profusely when eating or doing something, and they sweat profusely when they are nervous. This disease is medically called hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis can be caused by febrile diseases, metabolic diseases, and mental factors. The weather is hot in summer and people are exposed to high temperatures. It is normal for them to sweat a lot. However, if this happens even when the temperature is low, it should be considered a pathological condition.

What are the types of sweating?

Physiological night sweats

This type of sweating while sleeping often occurs in children because their skin is very tender, contains more water, has rich capillaries, and has an active metabolism, but their autonomic nervous system regulation function is not yet fully developed. Therefore, children tend to sweat when they are active. If they are more active before going to bed, their body metabolism will be more active, leading to increased heat. When they fall asleep, their sweat glands will secrete more and they will sweat profusely to help dissipate heat. In addition, if the child eats before going to bed, the secretion of gastric juice will increase, causing a corresponding increase in the secretion of sweat glands, making the child sweat a lot while sleeping, especially in the first two hours of sleep. In addition, when the human body is sleeping, the indoor temperature is too high and the quilt is too thick. These environmental factors will cause physiological sweating during sleep.

Pathological night sweats

After falling asleep, if sweating occurs mainly in the first half of the night, it is usually caused by low blood calcium. Low calcium will increase the excitability of the sympathetic nerves and increase the secretion of sweat glands. This phenomenon of sweating during sleep is more common in patients with rickets. If a patient with tuberculosis sweats while sleeping, he often sweats all night, accompanied by symptoms such as extremely red face, loss of appetite, and mood swings. Many diseases that affect the body's temperature regulation center and excite the sympathetic nerves can cause pathological sweating during sleep.
