Seborrheic dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis

In daily life, we can see that some people have some rough protrusions on both sides of their noses. When the condition is serious, there may even be red protrusions. This is generally caused by seborrheic dermatitis. In fact, seborrheic dermatitis seriously affects our appearance, making us less and less confident about our appearance. Some people often scratch, which can easily cause bacterial infection.

So what should we do if we suffer from seborrheic dermatitis? People like to choose some hormone ointments on their own, which will cause the skin to be dependent on the drugs, which is not conducive to the treatment of the disease. Next, let us have a general understanding of what we should do if we find seborrheic dermatitis.

First, you should pay attention to adjusting your diet, eat more vegetables, limit high-fat and high-sugar foods, avoid spicy food, alcohol and other irritating foods, avoid excessive mental stress and local scratching, live a regular life, and get enough sleep. Second, oral medication treatment. Vitamin B6, B2 or vitamin B complex, niacinamide, etc. can be used. If itching is severe, antipruritic sedatives such as antihistamines can be used. If inflammation is obvious or there is secondary infection, antibiotics such as tetracycline or erythromycin can be used. Third, topical therapy is based on the principles of fat removal, sterilization, anti-inflammation and antipruritic. Commonly used drugs include sulfur, raclonidine, coal tar, salicylic acid, selenium sulfide, imidazoles, etc. Different dosage forms can be selected according to different parts of the body and different disease conditions.

The above are the things that patients with seborrheic dermatitis should pay attention to. Of course, if the patient's seborrheic dermatitis is particularly severe, then we must go to a regular hospital for treatment. After all, as long as we use appropriate medications, pay attention to a light diet, and get enough rest, seborrheic dermatitis can be cured.
