The hazards of electric blankets

The hazards of electric blankets

Electric blankets are usually used to heat the bed in winter. Electric blankets are a commonly used household appliance and are available in almost every household. Some families even have several electric blankets. Electric blankets are popular among consumers because they are convenient and heat up quickly. Electric blankets have been on the market for half a century or even longer. They are also relatively durable and can be used for several years if well preserved.

Electric blankets have many benefits, but they also have hazards. Maybe when people use electric blankets in their daily lives, they only consider the benefits of electric blankets and ignore the hazards. Today we will focus on the hazards of electric blankets, which also have many hazards.

1. If poor quality electric blankets are not properly maintained after long-term use, leakage may occur, so it is best not to use them when sleeping.

2. Electric blankets will keep the capillaries in a state of expansion, resulting in a significant loss of water and salt in the body, which can easily lead to dry mouth, sore throat, nose bleeding, dry skin, and constipation.

3. The electromagnetic radiation of electric blankets has a wide range of impacts on human health. Under the influence of electromagnetic radiation, polynuclear leukocytes, leukocytes, and reticulocytes often increase, while lymphocytes decrease. In terms of blood biochemical indicators, there is a trend of high cholesterol and increased activity of choline esterase.

4. The electromagnetic radiation of electric blankets has a wide range of impacts on human health. Electromagnetic radiation can cause continuous exposure to high-intensity microwaves, which can cause people to have faster heart rate, higher blood pressure, faster breathing, wheezing, sweating, etc. In severe cases, it can cause convulsions and respiratory disorders, and even death.

5. Electric blankets are a mechanical form of heating that can disrupt the body's balance mechanism, thereby causing blood pressure to rise.

Pregnant women and children should not use electric blankets. Other people should also be careful when using them. The usage time should not be too long. People should not lie directly on the electric blanket. It is generally better to start heating it one hour before going to bed and turn off the power before going to sleep. People who often use electric blankets should drink more water in the morning and evening to reduce the harm of electric blankets to the body.
