How a refrigerator works

How a refrigerator works

Every home should have a refrigerator. The refrigerator has become an indispensable appliance in the home, especially in summer, when the refrigerator will be used frequently. There are more and more types of refrigerators now. Refrigerators of different brands have their own product characteristics. Do you know about the working principle of refrigerators? Knowing more about this knowledge will make us more successful when using the refrigerator.

Almost every household has a refrigerator. Refrigerators are very important to our daily lives. Without a refrigerator, it would be difficult for us to eat fresh food. When buying a refrigerator, you should know more about its working principle so that you can make a better choice.

1) Compression refrigerator: This type of refrigerator uses an electric motor to provide mechanical energy and works on the refrigeration system through a compressor. The refrigeration system uses a low-boiling-point refrigerant that absorbs heat when it evaporates. Its advantages are long life and easy use. Currently, 91% to 95% of the refrigerators in the world belong to this category. Currently commonly used refrigerators use a refrigerant called R600a as a heat "carrier" to "carry" the "heat" in the refrigerator to the outside of the refrigerator.

2) Semiconductor refrigerator: It is a refrigerator that realizes refrigeration by passing direct current through PN-type semiconductors to produce the Peltier effect at the node.

3) Chemical refrigerator: It is a refrigerator that uses the strong heat absorption of certain chemicals when dissolved in water to achieve cooling effect.

4) Electromagnetic vibration refrigerator: It is a refrigerator that uses an electromagnetic vibration machine as the main power to drive the compressor. Its principle and structure are basically the same as those of a compression refrigerator.

5) Solar Refrigerator: It is a refrigerator that uses solar energy as cooling energy.

6) Adiabatic demagnetization refrigeration refrigerator.

7) Radiation refrigeration refrigerator.

8) Solid state refrigeration refrigerator.

How to use

1. How to use the refrigerator temperature compensation switch. Household refrigerators are designed for a wide climate zone based on the large temperature difference between the north and south of my country. When the ambient temperature is low (below 10°C), please turn on the temperature compensation switch for normal use. When the ambient temperature is low, if the temperature compensation switch is not turned on, the compressor's working times will be significantly reduced or will not work, the startup time will be short and the shutdown time will be long, causing the freezer temperature to be high and the frozen food to not be completely frozen. Therefore, the temperature compensation switch must be turned on. (The principle is that when the ambient temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius, you need to turn on the switch to heat the refrigerator's refrigerator compartment and make the refrigerator work passively so that the freezer compartment temperature remains low and frozen.) Turning on the temperature compensation switch does not affect the service life of the refrigerator. When winter is over and the ambient temperature rises, and the ambient temperature is higher than 15℃, please turn off the temperature compensation switch. This can avoid frequent startup of the compressor and save electricity.

2. How to use the refrigerator thermostat. During the use of the refrigerator, its working time and power consumption are greatly affected by the ambient temperature. Therefore, we need to choose different gears in different seasons. The refrigerator thermostat should be set to a low level in summer and a high level in winter. When the ambient temperature is high in summer, it should be used in weak gear 2 or 3. When the ambient temperature is low in winter, it should be used in strong gear 4 or 5. The reason is: in summer, the ambient temperature is high (up to 30°C). If the temperature in the freezer is set to strong gear (4 or 5), it will be below -18°C. The temperature difference between the inside and outside is large, so it is difficult to reduce the temperature in the box by 1°C. Furthermore, the loss of cold air through the insulation layer of the box and the door seal will also be accelerated. In this way, the startup time is very long and the shutdown time is very short, which will cause the compressor to run for a long time at high temperature, which not only consumes electricity but also easily damages the compressor. If you change to a weak gear (2nd or 3rd gear) at this time, you will find that the startup time is significantly shortened, which reduces compressor wear and extends its service life. Therefore, when the temperature is high in summer, adjust the temperature control to a weak level. When the ambient temperature is low in winter, if the thermostat is still adjusted to a weak position, the compressor will be difficult to start due to the small temperature difference between the inside and outside. In refrigerators with a single refrigeration system, the freezer may thaw.

3. The correct setting temperature of the refrigerator's refrigerator compartment is 5-7 degrees, which can ensure the freshness of food and avoid wasting resources due to setting the temperature too low.

Everyone should have an understanding of the working principle of the refrigerator. The working principle of the refrigerator is also very simple. Knowing more about the principle of the refrigerator can help when we buy a refrigerator. At the same time, everyone should learn more about how to use the refrigerator and strive to extend the service life of their own refrigerator.
