How to use mouthwash properly

Nowadays, people's lifestyle and diet are relatively irregular, and they prefer greasy food, which can easily lead to bad breath and other conditions. In order to keep the breath fresher, many friends choose to use mouthwash. But do you know that if the mouthwash is used incorrectly, it will cause certain harm to your oral cavity? So how to use mouthwash properly?

Speaking of mouthwash, it is now a must-have oral hygiene cleaning expert. However, faced with a variety of mouthwashes, you must be careful when purchasing and choose those with mild ingredients. This will protect your teeth and mouth, otherwise it will hurt your mouth. The correct way to use mouthwash is as follows:

There are two things to note when using mouthwash : one is to choose a type that suits your situation, and the other is to pay attention to the frequency of use, it is best not to exceed 3 times a day.

There are two main types of mouthwash : therapeutic and cosmetic. The more common therapeutic mouthwashes include biological mouthwashes, anti-plaque mouthwashes and fluoride mouthwashes. Patients with toothache, gingivitis, and periodontitis can use biological mouthwash to increase the oxygen content in the oral cavity, inhibit the growth of anaerobic bacteria, and clear away heat and reduce swelling. People who have tooth decay or wear braces can use a fluoride mouthwash. Because it contains trace amounts of sodium fluoride, it can provide extra protection for teeth and prevent tooth decay after use. For people who do not have oral diseases, cosmetic mouthwash is an ideal choice.

Remind everyone to rinse your mouth with clean water before using mouthwash. After each meal, take a mouthful of water and rinse your mouth repeatedly to remove as much food debris and soft stains as possible. Then, rinse your mouth with mouthwash for about 1 minute. After that, you don’t need to rinse your mouth with clean water again.

Now that you know how to use mouthwash properly, I believe you can better protect your oral health. In addition, you must understand that although mouthwash can clean oral hygiene, it cannot replace the effect of brushing teeth, and it cannot be used too frequently, otherwise it will damage your teeth and cause mouth ulcers. Therefore, to protect your teeth, it is most important to brush your teeth on time.
