Stroke and press with both hands: sink both hands, stroke and press to the root of the left thigh, turn the body slightly to the right with the waist belt, sit back slightly, and rotate the right foot outward about 15 degrees. Practice points 1. In this posture, you should relax your whole body and keep your head straight and neck upright from beginning to end. 2. When extending forward, the gate of life opens slightly backwards, shoulders relax and sink, and the whole body extends outwards. 3. When the hands are level with the shoulders, the elbows should be slightly dropped; when stroking and pressing downwards, slowly retract your eyes and lead your hands with your mind, embodying the three-joint strength of "leading by the tip, following by the middle, and urging by the root joint". 4. When relaxing, you should demonstrate the momentum of relaxation and accumulation of energy: "When the mind is raised, the whole body is relaxed; when the mind is relaxed, the whole body is relaxed." Vajra Pounding Mortar: The left hand falls in front of Dantian, the right fist moves in a clockwise circle and closes in the palm of the left hand, and the right foot closes beside the left foot as the fist falls. Meaning of martial arts Pulling both hands back is to use the pulling force to dissolve the opponent's force, and the sky cannon is to use the lower hook to break the opponent's momentum and moves. 3. Lazy Tie-up Clothes (Chest Facing South) Action breakdown 1. Open your hands downward: Continuing from the previous posture, relax your hands, lower your body slightly, and spread your hands out to the sides in an arc. 2. Open your hands outward: Move your hands downward in an arc and then bring them together in front of your chest with your palms facing inward. Then relax them in front of your left shoulder, turn your palms outward, and rotate your hands clockwise to the lower left and upper right arcs to open them outward. 3. Close the top and open the bottom: Move the left hand in an upward arc clockwise and the right hand in a downward arc clockwise. After the right foot is relaxed, shovel with the inner side of the heel touching the ground. 4. Relax the left and open the right: Relax the right hand, with the palm slanting forward and downward in an arc and opening horizontally to the right. At the same time, the left hand falls on the lower abdomen, slightly to the left below the navel, to form an open posture. Practice points 1. Before spreading your hands, you must first relax your waist and spine, and sink your Qi into your Dantian. 2. Before opening both hands outwards, the strength should be extended in all directions, and the joints of chest, shoulder, wrist and elbow should be smooth. 3. When your hands are opened up, the chest is open and the back is closed. When your hands are closed down, the back is open and the chest is closed. This opening and closing reflects the opening and closing and folding of the chest and abdomen. When you are in the fixed posture, you should have a sense of standing upright, your body should be straight and not tilted, your Qi should sink into your Dantian, and your mind should be focused on your fingertips. Right hand grab and squeeze: Continuing from the previous posture, the right hand moves in a downward arc toward the left foot, shifting the body weight to the left, then palms facing inward, and push both hands to the right. 2. Lower your hands to both sides and move them slightly upwards. 3. Double-closed oblique press: Put both hands together in front of the left shoulder, palms facing up, then turn both palms over and press obliquely downward to the right front. As the hands press, the left foot is brought to the inside of the right foot, with the weight on the right foot. Practice points 1. When doing stroking with the right hand, the whole body should be relaxed and the whole movement should be done in one go. 2. Changes in body weight should be coordinated with the movements of your hands and feet. 3. When the backs of your hands are lowered, the Qi should be relaxed and sunk to Dantian, and the momentum should be expanded immensely. 4. When pressing down with both hands diagonally, the right hip will lean outward slightly. Meaning of martial arts The right-hand grab and pull and the two-hand right push are a combined action of one transformation and one release, while the double-combination and diagonal downward pressing is a posture released by the hands and buttocks together, using the squeezing and pressing force released to the right side. 5. Single Whip (Chest Facing South) Action breakdown 1. Open and close your hands: Continuing from the previous posture, relax your hands. Then use the palms of your hands as if stroking a Tai Chi ball. First open your hands, then close your hands. When opening and closing, your palms should always be facing the direction of the Tai Chi ball. Start from Dantian and close at Dantian. 2. Open the right hook: pinch the three fingers of the right hand together, and extend them to the right along the line between Neiguan and Zhongchong of the left hand. 3. Left sideways: First, lift the left foot and then take a step to the left. Then, shift the body weight to the left and at the same time, pull the left hand to the left, with the left palm facing up, and the right hook hand remains unchanged (Figure 18). 4. Close and open the left hand: Close the left hand with the right hand, and move the body weight to the right at the same time. Move the left hand to the right side of the Dantian, that is, move in a counterclockwise outer arc to close to the inside of the right hook hand, and then turn the left palm outward and move in a counterclockwise flat circle trajectory to the left (Figure 19). Practice points 1. Opening and closing of both hands and right hook and opening to the right are one continuous action, and left horizontal opening and closing of left hand are one continuous action. The entire combination of movements should be performed smoothly and without delay. 2. Before the fixed posture, the left palm opens outwards from the horizontal palm to the vertical palm, and the transition in the middle should be natural and smooth. Meaning of martial arts 1. Opening and closing both hands uses the two opposite forces of opening and closing to grab the opponent's wrist. 2. The operation of the left hand is to use the left hand to close the right to lead the opponent, and then open the left to push to the left to release the opponent. 6. White Crane Spreads Wings (Chest Facing East) Action breakdown 1. Relax your hands: Relax your hands in front of your dantian and sink your body slightly. 2. Stroke your hands to the right: Move your hands along a clockwise vertical circle to the body. 3. Step forward and close hands: Keep moving upward, swing the left hand outward, and move the right hand in a downward arc to lead the right step forward half a step, while the left hand closes in front of the right shoulder. 4. Follow the steps and open the hands: Keep moving upwards, with the left hand moving in an upward arc clockwise, and the right hand moving in a downward arc clockwise, and with the middle finger of the right hand leading the big toe of the left foot, follow the steps and open diagonally to the upper right. When you take a right step, you should step toward the southeast, that is, at a 45-degree angle to your left foot.
