What are the symptoms of lymphoma and what should we pay attention to in our diet

What are the symptoms of lymphoma? What is the diet therapy?

There are many symptoms of lymphoma, the following is a brief introduction:

Lymphoma is a group of malignant tumors originating from lymph nodes or other lymphoid tissues. It can be divided into two major categories: Hodgkin's disease (HD) and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). Histologically, tumorous proliferation of lymphocytes and/or histiocytes can be seen. Clinically, painless lymphadenopathy is the most typical symptom. The liver and spleen are often enlarged. In the late stage, there are cachexia, fever and anemia.

Because the location and range of the lesions are different, the clinical manifestations are very inconsistent. The primary site can be in the lymph nodes or in extranodal lymphatic tissues, such as tonsils, nasopharynx, gastrointestinal tract, spleen, bones or skin. Primary sites in nodal lymphatic tissues are more common in NHL. The disease spreads from the primary site to adjacent lymph nodes, such as HD, and also spreads to distant lymph nodes across the adjacent sites, which is common in NHL. NHL can also originate from multiple centers, so once clinically diagnosed, it has often spread throughout the body.

There are many dietary treatments for lymphoma, which are briefly introduced below:

1. After chemotherapy, patients with lymphoma often have digestive tract reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, and decreased blood levels due to bone marrow suppression and impaired hematopoietic function. In terms of diet, attention should be paid to increasing appetite and eating nutritious foods. At this time, in addition to choosing the food that patients usually like to eat, you can also use foods such as scrambled eggs with tomatoes, stewed lean meat with hawthorn, mutton soup with astragalus and angelica, stewed beef with cordyceps, black fungus, fresh royal jelly, coriander, etc., which can not only replenish qi and blood, but also strengthen the spleen and stomach, reduce reactions, and improve the efficacy.

2. Eat foods rich in vitamin A. Such as egg yolks, animal liver, pig, sheep, chicken, carrots, lettuce leaves, rapeseed, sweet potatoes, etc. The main function of vitamin A is to maintain the normal structure of epithelial tissue, stimulate the body's immune system, mobilize the body's anti-cancer enthusiasm, and resist the invasion of pathogenic substances into the body.
