Laparoscopic surgery for ovarian tumors

Laparoscopic surgery is not recommended. When the ovarian cancer is discovered, most of them are already in the middle and late stages, and some have already metastasized. Laparoscopic surgery cannot completely clear the gonorrhea system and has a great impact on late recurrence. The symptoms of malignant ovarian germ cell tumors are different from those of epithelial cancer.

In the early stages, abdominal masses and distension appear, and fever may occur due to intratumoral bleeding or necrotic infection, or symptoms of acute abdomen may appear due to tumor torsion, tumor rupture, etc. 60% to 70% of patients are in the early stages when they seek medical treatment.

Ovarian cancer patients have a relatively high degree of malignancy. It is recommended that after surgery, they must cooperate with traditional Chinese medicine to adjust the treatment and control the development of cancer cells. During ovarian cancer surgery, the primary tumor and visible pelvic and abdominal metastases should be removed as much as possible, or the diameter of the residual cancer lesions should be reduced to less than 2.0 to 1.5 cm, in order to truly reduce the chance of recurrence and metastasis.

Ovarian tumor causing ascites

Most benign ovarian tumors are asymptomatic when they are small and are often discovered accidentally during a gynecological examination or pelvic B-ultrasound examination. When the tumor grows, a mass can be felt in the lower abdomen or the abdomen may be enlarged, and abdominal distension and discomfort may be felt. The tumor is mostly cystic, with a smooth surface, no adhesion to the uterus, a relatively regular shape, clear boundaries, and no ascites.

Ovarian malignant tumors grow rapidly and are prone to metastasis. When the tumor implants and metastasizes, the cancer cells will penetrate the peritoneum and intestinal tract, forming many nodular or papillary metastatic cancers. The patient may experience abdominal swelling. In severe cases, there will be a large amount of ascites, which is mostly bloody. Cancer cells can be found in the ascites. Ovarian malignant tumors often cause ascites. Ovarian tumors can be benign or malignant.
