What to do with ovarian cancer

Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor that is not easy to detect in the early stages. It is often discovered accidentally during a physical examination and is diagnosed pathologically after surgical resection. Most of the time, the disease is already in the middle or late stages, and abdominal distension, repeated discharge, and bleeding may occur. In principle, surgery can be used for treatment if there is no metastasis in the relevant examinations. If metastasis occurs, chemotherapy is the main treatment. If the lesion is reduced and the condition is under control after two courses of chemotherapy, surgery can be used again, but chemotherapy will still be needed after surgery.

Can ovarian cancer ascites be cured?

Ovarian cancer is a common malignant tumor in gynecology. It is common for ovarian cancer to present with ascites, and there is also the possibility of ascites metastasis. When ovarian cancer is discovered, it may have already spread widely in the abdomen and pelvis. In this case, it depends on the nature of the ascites. If it is caused by malnutrition or hypoproteinemia, it is still possible to cure the ascites, mainly through nutritional support and anti-tumor treatment. Ovarian cancer can be treated with surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other comprehensive treatments. If there is no recurrence for more than five years, it is clinically considered to be cured. If there is ascites metastasis, palliative treatments such as peritoneal infusion chemotherapy can also be used to prolong survival as much as possible, while treating and watching.
