Is brain cancer hereditary?

Is brain cancer hereditary?

Now with CT and MRI, we can detect brain tumors as soon as possible. If the brain tumor does not invade the mobile area or the sensory area in the early stage, timely surgical removal will lead to better recovery after surgery. Brain cancer is not hereditary, but cancer may have a genetic tendency, but patients should not worry too much, because a genetic tendency does not mean that the next generation will get sick. Malignant brain tumors are generally not inherited, and the specific cause of brain tumors is not clear at present.

What to do if hydrocephalus occurs after brain tumor surgery?

If it is mild hydrocephalus, there are no obvious symptoms, generally no treatment is required, and regular check-ups are allowed. If the patient has obvious hydrocephalus and has symptoms such as headache, vomiting, blurred vision, urinary incontinence, and memory loss, hydrocephalus shunt surgery is required. If the patient has obvious hydrocephalus and has symptoms such as headache, vomiting, and unsteady walking, hydrocephalus shunt surgery is required to relieve the hydrocephalus. Hydrocephalus is a common complication after surgery, and the specific treatment plan needs to be combined with the patient's clinical condition.

Did a blood test detect a brain tumor?

Intracranial tumors are usually not diagnosed by blood tests, but usually by head CT or MRI. Blood tests for tumor markers are mainly for gastrointestinal tumors, lung cancer and other malignant tumors. Brain cancer is an intracranial malignant tumor. Generally, blood tests cannot confirm the diagnosis of brain cancer. A clear diagnosis must be made through head MRI combined with pathological biopsy. Pathological biopsy is the gold standard for a clear diagnosis. Other tests cannot replace the vast majority of brain tumors.
