What are the symptoms of uterine cancer?

The symptoms of uterine cancer need to be determined according to different types, such as vaginal bleeding after menopause; cervical cancer has symptoms such as contact bleeding.

1. Endometrial cancer:

The main manifestation is postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, which is usually not much. Premenopausal women may experience increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstruation, or menstrual disorders. If the tumor involves the cervix or oral cavity, it can cause intrauterine abscesses, lower abdominal distension and cramping pain. Tumors that infiltrate the surrounding tissues of the uterus or compress nerves can cause pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region. In the late stage, corresponding symptoms such as anemia, weight loss, and malignant lesions may occur.

2. Cervical cancer:

It often manifests as contact bleeding, that is, vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse or gynecological examination. It can also manifest as irregular vaginal bleeding, or prolonged menstruation and increased menstrual volume. Elderly patients have irregular vaginal bleeding after menopause. If the lesion erodes large blood vessels, it can cause heavy bleeding. Depending on the extent of the cancer, different secondary symptoms may occur, such as frequent urination, urgency, constipation, lower limb swelling and pain, etc. When the cancer compresses or involves the ureter, it can cause ureteral obstruction, hydronephrosis and uremia; in the late stage, systemic failure symptoms such as anemia and cachexia may also occur.

Endometrial cancer is treated mainly with surgery, supplemented by radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy; cervical cancer is treated mainly with surgery and radiotherapy, supplemented by chemotherapy. Regardless of the type of uterine cancer, doctors will develop targeted and personalized treatment plans based on the patient's cancer, age, fertility requirements and overall condition.
