Dink women who marry late have a higher risk of ovarian cancer

Women who are unmarried or marry late, infertile, or not breastfeeding have a higher risk of ovarian cancer than the general population. Women who are over 50 years old, infertile patients who use ovulation-inducing drugs, women who like high-fat, high-protein, high-calorie diets, and women with a family history of hereditary ovarian disease, breast cancer, or non-polypoid colon cancer are also at high risk of ovarian cancer.

Ovarian cancer grows rapidly and spreads easily, ranking third among gynecological malignancies. Since ovarian tumors are hidden in the pelvic cavity, the early symptoms of the disease are not obvious and are similar to general digestive system symptoms. It is usually discovered when the tumor grows to a certain size, exceeds the pelvic cavity, or has complications.

Early ovarian cancer may cause persistent abdominal swelling, pressure and pain, gastrointestinal discomfort, difficulty eating, or a feeling of fullness, frequent urination or urgency.

95% of women experience at least one symptom related to ovarian cancer before diagnosis, including 77% with abdominal symptoms, 70% with gastrointestinal symptoms, 58% with pain, 50% with systemic symptoms, 34% with urinary symptoms, and 26% with pelvic symptoms.

Who is at high risk?

1. Postmenopausal women over 50 years old.

2. Women who are unmarried or marry late, infertile or have few children, and not breastfeeding.

3. Infertile patients using ovulation-inducing drugs.

4. Women who like to eat high-fat, high-protein, high-calorie diets.

5. Those with a family history of hereditary ovarian disease have a family history of breast cancer and a family history of non-polyp colon cancer.
