Eight symptoms of meningeal metastasis of advanced lung cancer

The eight symptoms of meningeal metastasis of advanced lung cancer are inaccurate. Patients with advanced lung cancer usually experience symptoms such as headache, vomiting, visual impairment, mental disorder, unilateral limb abnormalities, and hemiplegia.

1. Headache:

Patients with advanced lung cancer who have meningeal metastasis usually experience headaches, which often occur in the early morning and sometimes wake them up during sleep.

2. Vomiting:

When patients with advanced lung cancer develop meningeal metastasis, intracranial pressure increases, thereby stimulating the medullary respiratory center, causing projectile vomiting.

3. Visual impairment:

When intracranial pressure increases, it will lead to poor venous blood return in the eyes, causing congestion and edema, damaging the visual cells on the retina of the fundus, and causing visual impairment.

4. Mental abnormality:

After the meningeal metastasis, the prefrontal brain tumor will cause damage to the frontal lobe, at which time mental abnormalities will occur, such as excitement, agitation, depression, depression, amnesia, etc.

5. Unilateral limb abnormalities:

Some patients may also experience unilateral limb pain, decreased or absent sense of temperature, vibration, and body discrimination.

6. Hemiplegia:

After meningeal metastasis, patients usually develop cerebellar lesions, at which time hemiplegia will occur.

It is recommended that patients with advanced lung cancer meningeal metastasis go to the hospital for relevant examinations in time and receive local radiotherapy and systemic treatment under the guidance of a doctor. If the patient has a gene mutation, targeted drugs targeting the gene mutation can be used according to the doctor's advice, such as icotinib hydrochloride tablets, crizotinib capsules, etc.
