Can rhinitis lead to nasopharyngeal cancer? What are the causes of nasopharyngeal cancer?

1. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma mainly occurs in the nasopharynx between the nasal cavity and the oropharynx. The main symptoms include cervical lymphadenopathy, nosebleeds, nasal congestion, headaches, tinnitus, deafness, aspiration of bloody nasal discharge, ptosis, facial paralysis, difficulty swallowing, and choking when eating.

2. Rhinitis usually does not lead to nasopharyngeal cancer. General drugs can only relieve rhinitis, but cannot completely cure it. For patients with rhinitis, it is recommended that you use a special nasal endoscope under nasal endoscopy to directly act on the lesion. The operation only needs to open the sinus opening and directly remove the lesion tissue. The operation is delicate, and regular follow-up is required after the operation to clean the surgical cavity and remove new granulations or vesicles. Steroid hormones are used locally.

3. People who are easily exposed to formaldehyde in life are also prone to nasopharyngeal cancer. Some people have bad living habits, which will lead to physical deterioration and nasopharyngeal cancer in the long run. For example, eating habits, liking to eat pickled foods such as kimchi and salted fish, or having a smoking habit.

4. Another example is that many people like to stay up late to go to online bars, smoke excessively, drink alcohol, and often drink frozen carbonated drinks. These unhealthy lifestyles may be the cause of nasopharyngeal cancer. Pickled foods: Studies have found that eating salted fish, pickled meat, pickled vegetables and other pickled foods frequently is related to the incidence of nasopharyngeal cancer. Frequent consumption of pickled foods can increase the incidence of nasopharyngeal cancer by 2-7 times.
