Symptoms of advanced bladder cancer spread

Symptoms of advanced bladder cancer:

The symptoms of bladder cancer are mainly divided into two categories, one is the symptoms of non-muscle permeable urothelial carcinoma, and the other is the symptoms of muscle permeable urothelial carcinoma. There are some differences in the treatment of these two types of bladder cancer. Bladder cancer is mostly treated with surgery. After surgery, patients should actively prevent the recurrence and metastasis of cancer cells.

1. Direct infiltration Bladder cancer can directly infiltrate and metastasize to the adjacent tissues around the bladder. Cancer cells penetrate the basement membrane, enter the submucosal layer, and often infiltrate the muscular layer, extravesical fat, and even the outer peritoneum. Advanced bladder cancer can infiltrate around the pelvic cavity or metastasize to distant sites. When the tumor infiltrates the posterior urethra, prostate, and rectum, corresponding symptoms of bladder cancer metastasis will appear. When the tumor is located on one side of the ureter, it will cause ureteral infiltration, resulting in dilation of one side of the ureter and hydronephrosis.

2. Symptoms of bladder cancer metastasis often occur in the late stage. After the tumor invades the blood vessels, the tumor cells enter the blood and can cause bladder cancer metastasis to the liver, lungs, bones, etc.

3. Lymphatic metastasis Bladder tumors are the most common metastatic symptom of bladder cancer. When the tumor invades the lymphatic vessels of the bladder wall through the muscle lymphatic vessels, pelvic lymph node metastasis may occur in some cases. If the tumor extends to the fatty tissue of the bladder wall, almost all pelvic lymph nodes will metastasize to the lymph nodes beside the abdominal aorta.
