The clinical stage of colon cancer is directly related to the postoperative efficacy. The specific analysis is as follows:

The first stage belongs to the early stage, which means that the tumor invades the mucosal layer and the part below the submucosal layer. It is clinically curable and has a high survival rate of more than 90%.

In the middle of the second stage, the tumor invades the muscularis and even the corneal layer, but there is no metastasis to the surrounding lymph nodes.

The third stage belongs to the middle and late stages, also known as the progressive stage. If lymph node metastasis occurs at any level of the disease, it is considered to be the middle and late stages. Generally speaking, the survival rate of the middle and late stages is lower than that of the early stages, and can reach about 50%.

The fourth stage is the late stage, so the fourth stage of colon cancer is in the late stage. Other distant metastases will occur in the late stage, including multiple lymph node metastases and local. Radical surgery cannot completely remove the cancer. For patients in the late stage, the general survival rate is relatively low, reaching about 10% to 20%. It is difficult to be completely cured, and the prognosis is relatively poor.
