Are there benign chondrosarcomas?

Clinically, osteosarcoma is a tumor disease that can directly develop into tumor-like bone tissue. The disease mainly occurs in children during their vigorous development period or adolescents with a long growth and development period. The age of onset is mostly between 10 and 15 years old, and boys are twice as likely as girls. The site of onset is mostly in the epiphyseal ends of the long bones of the limbs, with the most common being the lower end of the femur. Among malignant bone tumors in children, osteosarcoma ranks first in incidence. Once the disease occurs, it has a great impact on human health. So, are there any benign chondrosarcomas?

Is chondrosarcoma benign?

1

The cause of chondrosarcoma is still unclear, but it may be related to abnormalities in human chromosomes. Chondrosarcoma is one of the common malignant bone tumors. Usually, the tumor occurs in the long bones of the limbs and the pelvis, and the incidence of male patients is significantly higher than that of female patients.

2

Patients will first feel obvious swelling and discomfort in the affected area during the onset of the disease. As the disease progresses, patients will also experience varicose veins, increased local skin temperature, and congestion and redness. The pain is now worse at night, and painkillers are ineffective.

3

At present, the main clinical treatment method is curettage, which is to cut the bone wall of the tumor and then scrape the tumor tissue clean. Generally, as long as early patients receive timely treatment, the success rate of the operation can be increased and the impact on life can be reduced.

Precautions

Patients are advised to avoid long-term intake of rough and irritating foods in their daily diet. Daily diet must be done at regular times and quantitative quantities to avoid overeating, which increases the burden on stomach digestion.
