Early symptoms of nasopharyngeal cancer

Throat cancer is a common disease in life, but most people don't know what the early symptoms of the disease are. Let's take a look at the early symptoms of laryngeal cancer so that everyone can understand.

1. The voice is stubborn and jealous

Laryngeal cancer often affects the vocal cords and even a small volume can cause hoarseness in patients. Hoarseness is the earliest sign of laryngeal cancer. All adults with hoarseness, if unexplained, for more than two weeks, should have a detailed laryngeal examination and should not be taken lightly.

2. Abnormal sensation in the throat

Foreign body sensation, urgency, or swallowing discomfort are early symptoms of supraglottic cancer. However, the onset of this type of cancer is often not apparent until the second and third stages. If middle-aged or older people have throat discomfort, they should undergo a comprehensive and detailed examination.

3. Coughing with blood

Because tumor stimulation can produce irritating dry cough, blood in sputum, and patients often have mucus adhesions. After the tumor expands, it will block the airway, causing poor secretion of tracheal secretions, causing sucking infection, wheezing and even sucking. In the middle and late stages, it manifests as persistent coughing and changes in pronunciation.

4. Reflective pain

Cancer of the throat, ulcers, inflammation, or laryngeal periostitis can cause neuropathic pain, manifesting as ipsilateral headache and ear pain. These symptoms occur primarily in patients with supraglottic tumors.

The overall cure rate is as high as 80%, and the cure rate for early nasopharyngeal cancer is as high as 90%. Although the cause of nasopharyngeal cancer is still unknown, the prognosis is quite good as long as early symptoms and effective treatment can be detected.
