Early symptoms of throat cancer in women

Early symptoms of throat cancer in women

Although the early symptoms of female throat cancer are not particularly obvious, you can still find clues through careful observation. These symptoms mainly include hoarseness, foreign body sensation in the throat, throat pain, cough, blood in sputum, etc. If you have any discomfort, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time and take appropriate measures under the guidance of a doctor. The details are as follows:

1. Hoarseness: The voice becomes lower and coarser, mainly due to the invasion of the pharynx by the tumor, affecting the vocal cords and recurrent laryngeal nerve. For hoarseness, the cause must be confirmed through examination. If it is confirmed to be laryngeal cancer, the tumor can be removed surgically in the early stage to restore the function of the vocal cords. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy are also commonly used treatment methods to reduce the size of the tumor and reduce the pressure on the vocal cords.

2. Foreign body sensation in the throat: After eating, you often feel that there is food residue in the throat, which lasts for several months and is easy to be ignored. For the foreign body sensation in the throat, the possibility of benign diseases should be ruled out first. If it is confirmed to be laryngeal cancer, endoscopic mucosal resection can directly remove abnormal tissue and relieve symptoms. At the same time, Chinese medicine conditioning such as Banxia Houpu Decoction can also help to harmonize qi and blood, resolve phlegm and disperse nodules.

3. Throat pain: Mild unilateral throat pain may worsen and radiate to the ear as the disease progresses. When the pain is mild, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can be used to relieve the pain. If diagnosed with throat cancer, surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy can effectively relieve pain. Radiotherapy kills cancer cells through high-energy rays and reduces the pressure of the tumor on surrounding tissues; chemotherapy inhibits the growth of cancer cells through systemic administration, thereby relieving pain.

4. Cough: Mostly dry coughs, which can be caused by saliva or food entering the trachea. For cough symptoms, cough suppressants can be used to relieve the symptoms. If diagnosed with throat cancer, comprehensive treatment measures should be taken according to the condition, including surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, to eliminate the stimulation of the tumor on the throat and fundamentally solve the cough problem.

5. Blood in sputum: Blood in sputum when coughing is common in subglottic or supraglottic laryngeal cancer. If blood in sputum is found, you should seek medical attention immediately. After being diagnosed with laryngeal cancer, appropriate treatment measures should be taken according to the location and stage of the tumor. Surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy can all be used to control the disease and reduce bleeding symptoms.

Although the early symptoms of female throat cancer are not easy to detect, they can be discovered early through careful observation and regular physical examinations. Once the above symptoms are found, you should immediately seek medical attention and take reasonable treatment measures according to the condition after the diagnosis is confirmed.
