How to treat sinusitis?

Sinusitis is a very common disease in daily life. It is extremely harmful to people's bodies, so early detection is particularly important. If you have just contracted this disease, you can treat it through saline nasal washing, garlic juice, vinegar fumigation, Xanthium sibiricum, decongestants and exercise. All of these can have good results. Friends in need can try it.

1. Sinusitis

Inflammation of one or more sinuses is called sinusitis. The affected sinuses include the maxillary sinus, ethmoid sinus, frontal sinus and sphenoid sinus. It is a disease with a high incidence rate in the population and affects the quality of life of patients. Sinusitis can be divided into 2 types: acute and chronic sinusitis. Acute sinusitis is mostly caused by upper respiratory tract infection, and bacterial and viral infections may occur simultaneously. Chronic sinusitis is more common than acute sinusitis, and multiple sinuses are often affected at the same time.

2. Treatment of sinusitis and rhinorrhoea

1. Salt water nasal wash method

2 grams of salt and 100 ml of water, boil, and add the distilled water into a small bottle. Dip a cotton ball in distilled salt water and drip it into the affected nasal cavity. Then use your fingers to gently press both sides of the nose to allow the nasal mucosa to fully absorb the salt water. Use Shanxintang Nasal Refreshing Spray 2-3 times a day for best results.

2. Garlic juice preparation method

Peel the garlic, wash it, crush it in a mortar and filter out the garlic juice. Use a cotton ball to drip the prepared garlic juice into the nasal cavity, and gently press both sides of the nose with your fingers.

3. Vinegar smoking method

Pour the white vinegar into a small iron bowl and burn it over fire until it evaporates. Inhaling the evaporated mist into the nasal cavity can help relieve the symptoms of rhinitis.

4. Preparation of Xanthium sibiricum

Wash the Xanthium sibiricum, dry it, peel it, grind it, add appropriate amount of water, boil it, simmer it on low heat for 30 minutes, cool it, filter it and put it into a small bottle. Use a cotton ball to drip the prepared Xanthium sibiricum liquid into the nasal cavity, and use your fingers to gently squeeze both sides of the nose.

5. Use decongestants

Using an over-the-counter decongestant medication is the best remedy for a runny nose. Decongestants constrict blood vessels, allowing air to flow more easily and reducing swelling in the nasal cavity. If you have a stuffy nose due to an infection, you should avoid medications such as histamine, which can dry out nasal secretions and make sinusitis worse.

6. Exercise therapy

Exercising every day increases adrenaline production in the body, a hormone that constricts blood vessels and reduces swelling caused by sinusitis.
