Several early signs of rectal cancer

There are no clear 16 early signs of rectal cancer, but there are usually some symptoms or signs, but these symptoms may vary from person to person, and not all patients with early rectal cancer will show all symptoms. Some common early signs of rectal cancer include changes in bowel habits, changes in stool characteristics, anal prolapse and tenesmus, general fatigue, weight loss and emaciation, abdominal pain and bloating, blood in the stool, anemia, etc.

1. Changes in bowel habits: This is one of the most intuitive and earliest symptoms of rectal cancer. Patients may find that their bowel movements increase, or that constipation and diarrhea alternate.

2. Changes in stool characteristics: Patients may find that their stools become thinner or have grooves. This is because the tumor in the rectum may compress the stool passage.

3. Anal prolapse and tenesmus: Patients may feel a prolapse in the anus or a feeling of incomplete defecation after bowel movement, which is called tenesmus.

4. General fatigue: Due to the influence of the tumor, the patient may feel general fatigue and lack of energy.

5. Weight loss and emaciation: Rectal cancer patients may experience symptoms of weight loss and emaciation due to the growth and consumption of the tumor.

6. Abdominal pain and bloating: Some patients may experience symptoms of abdominal pain and bloating, which may be due to intestinal obstruction or inflammatory stimulation caused by the tumor.

7. Blood in the stool: Rectal cancer patients often have blood in the stool, which is usually dark red and sometimes contains mucus or pus mixed with the stool. Anal diseases such as hemorrhoids may also cause blood in the stool, but blood in the stool of rectal cancer is often more severe and persistent.

8. Anemia: Long-term bloody stools and nutritional depletion may cause patients to experience symptoms of anemia, such as pale complexion, dizziness, etc.

These symptoms do not necessarily point to rectal cancer, but may also be related to other intestinal diseases or systemic diseases. When these symptoms occur, patients should seek medical attention in time and undergo relevant examinations to confirm the diagnosis.
