There are three pains in the early stage of gastric cancer

In the early stages of gastric cancer, there will be pain in the upper abdomen, behind the sternum, and between the shoulder blades. If the pain from gastric cancer is severe, seek medical attention promptly and receive treatment according to the doctor's advice.

1. Upper abdominal pain: A common symptom of early gastric cancer is upper abdominal pain, which may not be severe or even hidden, and sometimes presents as mild discomfort, which can be easily misdiagnosed as common stomach pain or indigestion symptoms. Because the pain is mild, people often do not immediately associate it with serious stomach diseases, and thus may ignore the importance of timely medical treatment.

2. Pain behind the sternum: You may experience pain behind the sternum, which may feel like burning, pressure or discomfort, and may even radiate to the back or shoulders, causing a more uncomfortable life experience. Because this pain may be similar to symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux, it is easy to be mistaken for an ordinary stomach problem caused by diet, thus delaying the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer.

3. Pain between shoulder blades: Gastric cancer may cause pain between the shoulder blades. This pain may manifest as dull pain, stabbing pain, or radiating pain. Sometimes it may even be confused with symptoms such as frozen shoulder or muscle strain, making it difficult to immediately detect the connection between it and gastric cancer.
