Buttock pain, also known as anal pain, is generally not an early symptom or manifestation of colon cancer. Anal pain may be caused by hemorrhoids, which are a common cause of anal pain. The pain may be more obvious, especially when hemorrhoids are incarcerated or thrombosed. Hemorrhoids may also be accompanied by symptoms such as bleeding during defecation and anal itching. Anal fissure refers to a longitudinal crack in the entire layer of the skin of the anal canal, forming a small ulcer. During defecation, the patient will feel burning or knife-like pain in the anus due to stimulation of the nerves in the anal fissure. Perianal abscess is an acute suppurative infectious disease that occurs around the anus, anal canal and rectum. It is a bacterial infection and there may be severe pain when an abscess forms. Enteritis may be caused by bacterial infection or unhygienic diet. Increased bowel movements may irritate the anus, causing pain or redness and swelling. Early symptoms of colorectal cancer usually include changes in bowel habits, such as increased or decreased bowel movements, alternating constipation and diarrhea, changes in stool characteristics, such as thinner, flatter or grooved stools, abdominal pain, weight loss, fatigue, blood in the stool, abdominal masses, etc. These symptoms may not be obvious in the early stages of colorectal cancer and are easily overlooked. Although anal pain may occur in the late stage of colorectal cancer due to tumor enlargement, compression or invasion of surrounding tissues, anal pain is not common in the early stage of colorectal cancer. Anal pain alone cannot be used to determine whether it is colorectal cancer. If you continue to feel pain in the anus or suspect symptoms of colorectal cancer, it is recommended that you go to the gastrointestinal surgery department of the hospital in time. The doctor will conduct a comprehensive assessment based on the patient's medical history, clinical manifestations and relevant examination results to make a clear diagnosis and develop an appropriate treatment plan. |
