Thyroid cancer is a common endocrine tumor in clinical practice. Its inoperable symptoms usually include dysphagia, hoarseness, facial edema, dyspnea, weight loss, and distant metastasis. Patients are advised to take active treatment measures under the guidance of a doctor. 1. Difficulty in swallowing: Since the thyroid gland is located in the neck, if thyroid cancer cannot be treated surgically, as the tumor grows, it will compress the surrounding tissues, causing swelling in the neck, which will lead to symptoms of difficulty in swallowing; 2. Hoarseness: Patients with thyroid cancer may experience abnormal pronunciation due to the compression of the recurrent laryngeal nerve by the tumor, thus manifesting as hoarseness. 3. Facial edema: Thyroid cancer surgery may require neck clearance. If the patient does not take proper care after surgery, it may cause adhesion of the neck tissue, thereby affecting the facial nerves and causing facial edema. 4. Dyspnea: If thyroid cancer patients cannot undergo surgery, the tumor will gradually increase in size over time, compressing the trachea and causing tracheal stenosis, thus causing dyspnea. 5. Weight loss: After thyroid cancer surgery, patients need to undergo radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which may affect their appetite. During the radiotherapy and chemotherapy, patients are prone to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite, which may lead to weight loss. 6. Distant metastasis: If thyroid cancer cannot be treated surgically, the tumor will grow larger over time and may cause distant metastasis, such as lung metastasis, which will affect normal lung function and cause symptoms such as difficulty breathing and coughing. In addition to the above common symptoms, some thyroid cancer patients may also experience palpitations, sweating, insomnia, irritability and other symptoms before surgery. It is recommended that thyroid cancer patients undergo surgery in a timely manner under the guidance of a doctor to avoid delaying the disease. |
