What is the probability of thyroid cancer being excluded

The possibility of thyroid cancer to be excluded is the possibility of malignancy of thyroid nodules. Usually, the possibility of malignancy of thyroid nodules is between 0% and 95%, but the specific value needs to be comprehensively judged based on thyroid color Doppler ultrasound examination, thyroid function test, thyroid radionuclide scanning, etc.

1. Thyroid color Doppler ultrasound examination: If the thyroid color Doppler ultrasound examination finds that the thyroid nodules have unclear boundaries, irregular shapes, and calcification foci, it means that the thyroid nodules are more likely to be malignant, generally 70%-95%;

2. Thyroid function test: If the thyroid function test finds that the thyroid hormone level is abnormally high, it means that the patient may have hyperthyroidism, which may be related to thyroid cancer. Because hyperthyroidism can cause excessive secretion of thyroid hormones in the body, thereby stimulating the proliferation of thyroid cells, leading to the above situation. When a patient has hyperthyroidism, the possibility of malignancy is about 60%-80%;

3. Thyroid radionuclide scanning: If radioactive concentration is found in the thyroid radionuclide scanning, it means that there is a high possibility of tumor in that part. Malignant tumors absorb iodine, so this phenomenon will occur. When the patient has the above situation, the possibility of malignancy is about 40%-60%;

4. Others: If the lesion is confirmed to be benign by puncture biopsy, it means that the possibility of malignancy is low. However, if the result of puncture biopsy is malignant, it means that the possibility of malignancy is high.

It is recommended that patients go to the hospital in time, complete relevant examinations under the guidance of a doctor to make a clear diagnosis, and follow the doctor's orders for targeted treatment.
