What to do if CT scan shows lymph node metastasis in the late stage of lung cancer

When CT scan reveals lung tumors and lymph node metastasis, surgical treatment, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other methods are needed according to the patient's specific situation.

1. Non-surgical treatment

1. Surgical treatment: If the patient is in good physical condition and has no obvious discomfort symptoms, surgical resection of the lesion can be considered. After surgery, the doctor needs to use targeted drugs or immune preparations for auxiliary treatment, such as gefitinib tablets, erlotinib hydrochloride tablets, etc.

2. Radiotherapy: For patients in poor physical condition, radiation can also be used to irradiate the diseased area to inhibit the spread and growth of cancer cells.

3. Chemotherapy: If the patient's physical condition does not allow surgery or can no longer tolerate surgery, chemotherapy can be used to control the progression of the disease. Commonly used chemotherapy drugs include paclitaxel injection, cisplatin injection, etc.

2. Surgical treatment

Generally speaking, when patients are in the late stage of lung cancer, they usually experience symptoms of difficulty breathing. At this time, surgery is not recommended because even if surgery is performed, it cannot improve the patient's quality of life. Therefore, the focus should be on relieving the patient's pain. During this period, you can take painkillers as prescribed by the doctor, such as ibuprofen sustained-release capsules, diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets, etc.

In addition, treatment can also be carried out through Chinese medicine conditioning methods, and the specific medication must be used under the guidance of a professional physician.
