Treatment of sore throat caused by complications of laryngeal cancer

Laryngeal cancer is a malignant tumor of the head and neck with a high incidence in northern my country. Patients may experience some complications during treatment. Common clinical complications include sore throat, laryngeal obstruction, and oral erosion. Here is how to treat sore throat?

Throat pain rarely occurs in the early stages of laryngeal cancer, but as the disease progresses, when the surrounding tissues are compressed or infiltrated by the tumor or are infected or ulcerated, severe pain will occur in the throat and may cause vagus nerve reflex pain, manifesting as migraine and ear pain.

There are two methods for treating sore throat caused by laryngeal cancer. One is acupuncture pain relief and the other is Chinese medicine pain relief.

Acupuncture analgesia : Take Hegu and Zhigou (bilaterally), quickly insert the needle, stimulate moderately after getting the qi, move the needle for 2 minutes, and leave the needle for 5 minutes. It can also be combined with ear acupuncture, take the adrenal gland to penetrate the throat, the neck to penetrate the asthma, and the Shenmen to penetrate the sympathetic, lung, and kidney (bilaterally), and leave the needle for 5 minutes.
