How to detect asymptomatic early liver cancer Two points to note when treating liver cancer

Everyone feels exhausted sometimes, whether it is due to physical labor, a busy day, or even various setbacks. However, in addition to these common reasons, we should also note that liver cancer can also make us feel weak and tired. Therefore, in our daily lives, we must be careful not to underestimate fatigue, because it is very likely that liver cancer has come to us.

Liver cancer symptoms – fatigue and exhaustion

The most typical symptom of liver cancer is feeling tired and weak for no reason and losing weight. In the early stages of liver cancer, the first thing patients feel is physical fatigue. Compared with fatigue caused by other reasons, the fatigue caused by liver cancer cannot be eliminated even if the patient lies down and rests quietly.

Why do liver cancer patients feel tired?

The calories produced by the food we eat are absorbed by the intestines, and some are transported to the liver for storage, and then transported to all parts of the body when we need them. If the liver is invaded by liver cancer cells, the liver's storage function will be damaged and the body's fuel supply will be reduced. On the other hand, as the tumor continues to expand, it causes digestive tract dysfunction, indigestion, and nutrient absorption disorders, so mental fatigue due to insufficient heat energy will occur.

How to detect asymptomatic early liver cancer

In my country, clinical liver cancer is usually divided into three stages: early, middle and late. Early liver cancer refers to small liver cancers with a cancer mass diameter of less than 5 cm and no clinical symptoms and signs, also known as "subclinical liver cancer." Middle-stage liver cancer refers to cancer masses that grow to a diameter of more than 5 cm and extend beyond one liver lobe and gradually develop symptoms such as liver pain, loss of appetite, fatigue, and weight loss. Late-stage liver cancer is when the cancer mass further grows and increases or has metastasized outside the liver, resulting in jaundice, ascites, or a variety of corresponding symptoms of distant metastatic cancer. Simply put, early-stage liver cancer has no symptoms, and those with symptoms are no longer early-stage, but middle- and late-stage liver cancer.

Early liver cancer has no symptoms or signs, and patients themselves are unaware of it and generally do not take the initiative to seek medical treatment, which makes early diagnosis difficult. Most of the early liver cancers that can be encountered clinically are discovered through liver cancer screening, group physical examinations, or related examinations at the hospital due to other diseases; some early liver cancers are detected because the patients know that they are in the high-risk group for liver cancer and take the initiative to do regular examinations.

Five causes of liver cancer

1. Liver cirrhosis: There is a close relationship between liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. According to statistics, it usually takes about 7 years for liver cirrhosis to develop into liver cancer. Therefore, this is one of the causes of liver cancer.

2. Viral hepatitis: Viral hepatitis is one of the more common causes of liver cancer. Generally speaking, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are closely related to the cause of liver cancer. It is reported that in HBV-positive liver cancer patients, HBV genes can be seen integrated into the DNA of liver cancer cells, so HBV is considered an important factor in the development of liver cancer.

3. Alcoholism: This is also a common cause of liver cancer. Alcoholism can cause alcoholic fatty liver, alcoholic hepatitis, and alcoholic cirrhosis. In alcoholic hepatitis or cirrhosis, the number of Kupffer cells decreases, which can increase the occurrence of liver cancer.

4. Trace elements: Studies on the relationship between trace elements and the causes of liver cancer have found that the mortality rate from liver cancer is negatively correlated with the selenium content in the environment and with the blood selenium level of residents. Animal experiments have shown that selenium can block aflatoxin-induced liver cancer in rats and ducks.

5. Drugs: Certain drugs have a cumulative effect and can cause liver cancer.

Liver cancer: effective treatment is important

1. Early treatment of liver cancer

At present, surgery is still the first choice for early treatment of liver cancer in clinical practice. The smaller the tumor and the more timely it is discovered, the higher the 5-year survival rate. However, while performing surgical treatment, attention should be paid to coordinating with traditional Chinese medicine, treating according to syndrome differentiation, strengthening the body and eliminating evil, which is very helpful in improving treatment effects, reducing postoperative recurrence, relieving symptoms, and improving immunity, thereby achieving good long-term treatment effects.

2. Treatment of advanced liver cancer

Patients with advanced liver cancer are often unable to withstand surgical treatment due to various factors such as physical condition and spread of cancer. Conservative treatment is often adopted for such patients. In conservative treatment, TCM has prominent advantages, such as small and medium dose chemotherapy, supplemented by Chinese medicine tonic therapy and heat-clearing and detoxifying methods, blood circulation, phlegm removal and nodule dispersion methods, in order to enhance the body's immune function, soften the liver, soften tumors, fight cancer, improve overall condition, prolong life, and thus achieve clinical survival with tumor.

According to the symptoms of patients with advanced liver cancer, we adopt multi-prescription and Chinese patent medicine compound therapy for holistic treatment, and use oral, high retention enema or low retention enema therapy in combination with decoction to eliminate physical symptoms and improve efficacy. It is highly targeted and effective, thus significantly improving the quality of life of patients with advanced liver cancer and prolonging their lives to a great extent.
