How does advanced lung cancer metastasize? What physical examinations should be done to prevent lung cancer?

Lung cancer refers to a cancer that occurs in the bronchial mucosal epithelium. It is a major disease that endangers life and health, and it is also one of the malignant tumors with the fastest growing incidence and mortality rates. Most people are already in the late stage of lung cancer when it is discovered, and treatment is very difficult.

The incidence of lung cancer has increased significantly in the past 50 years. In some large industrial cities, the incidence of lung cancer has ranked first among malignant tumors and has become a major disease that endangers life and health, especially advanced lung cancer, which is more difficult to cure. Basically, the priority is to control symptoms, stabilize the condition and prolong survival.

I think everyone should be familiar with the symptoms of advanced lung cancer, because there are too many people suffering from this disease, and the incidence rate is so high, which makes people suffer and helpless. The symptoms of advanced lung cancer are more obvious than those of early lung cancer. Generally speaking, the symptoms of advanced lung cancer mainly include advanced local symptoms and advanced diffuse metastasis symptoms. The severity varies. First, there will be localized wheezing, which mostly appears during the inhalation stage and will not disappear after coughing. There will also be hoarseness, which is caused by compression of lymph node metastasis, which is very uncomfortable. The important thing is that the tumor compresses or invades the superior vena cava, obstructing the return flow, causing some edema in the limbs, varicose veins and edema in the upper chest, accompanied by dizziness, chest tightness, shortness of breath and other symptoms. There will also be chest pain, cancerous pleural effusion, etc.

When advanced lung cancer reaches a certain level of severity, it will metastasize to a certain extent, which is particularly dangerous. Common distant metastasis sites include lymph nodes, adrenal glands, liver, etc., which will produce some corresponding symptoms. This is also a manifestation that lung cancer has reached an advanced stage. It can invade the brachial plexus, cervical sympathetic ganglia, and subclavian arteries and veins, producing a series of unique symptoms, such as numbness and pain in the upper limbs, which gradually worsens, and at the same time, changes in muscles and skin, upper limb venous distension and edema, as well as ptosis of the upper eyelid on the same side, pupil constriction, enophthalmos, and no sweating on the face. It is very painful, but the treatment cannot be effective immediately, so this time is the most difficult.

Since most advanced lung cancers have metastasized to distant sites, and because patients with advanced lung cancer have poor physical conditions and cannot accept the side effects caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the body's immunity will drop sharply, causing other diseases and even death, which is also very dangerous. For physical examinations of lung cancer, typical lung cancer is easy to identify, but in some cases, lung cancer is easy to be mistaken, so you must be very careful during physical examinations. First of all, the most sensitive test for tumor residue and recurrence can be performed, one is pET-CT, which can also be checked through tumor markers. At the same time, pET-CT is currently a tumor examination method that can be qualitative, localized, regular, and quantitatively measured. It is very easy to use and accurate, and can give people who are examined an accurate answer, and will not be mistaken due to other factors. In short, you should pay attention to advanced lung cancer, but you should pay more attention to it in your daily life.
