What are the symptoms of advanced lung cancer? Four symptoms of advanced lung cancer

Everyone should be familiar with lung cancer. Lung cancer generally has two stages, early and late. Early treatment is the best. If lung cancer or other tumor diseases, the possibility of cure in the late stage is very small. Let's take a look at the symptoms of lung cancer in the late stage.

1. Lung cancer will cause hoarseness in patients in the late stage, which is a common clinical manifestation. The recurrent laryngeal nerve that controls the left side of the voice function goes down from the neck to the chest, bypasses the large blood vessels of the heart and goes up to the larynx, thus controlling the left side of the voice organ. Therefore, if the tumor invades the left side of the mediastinum, the recurrent laryngeal nerve will be compressed, and hoarseness will occur, but there will be no sore throat and other symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection.

2. Patients with advanced lung cancer that has spread regionally will experience symptoms of shortness of breath and pleural effusion. Normal tissue fluid produced by the lungs and myocardium flows back through the lymph nodes in the middle of the chest. If these lymph nodes are blocked by tumors, the tissue fluid will accumulate in the pericardium to form pericardial effusion or accumulate in the chest cavity to form pleural effusion. Both of the above situations can cause shortness of breath.

3. Patients with advanced lung cancer may also experience facial and neck edema, so everyone should be vigilant. On the right side of the mediastinum is the superior vena cava, which transports venous blood from the upper limbs and head and neck back to the heart. If the tumor invades the right side of the mediastinum and compresses the superior vena cava, it will initially cause the jugular vein to swell due to poor reflux, and eventually lead to facial and neck edema, which needs to be diagnosed and treated in a timely manner.

Warm reminder: The best period to treat a disease is the early stage of the disease. I hope everyone has some understanding of the early symptoms of the disease. I believe everyone also has a certain understanding of the late symptoms. I hope everyone can pay more attention to changes in their bodies and seek treatment in a timely manner when symptoms appear, so as not to miss the best treatment period.
