Types of crabs that cannot be eaten

There are many types of crabs, but not every type of crab can be eaten. Some crabs have certain toxins in their bodies, and people cannot touch or eat such crabs. So when we go out to buy crabs, we must pay attention to the species of crabs. We must not buy the species that cannot be eaten home, otherwise it may cause food poisoning. So what are the species of crabs that cannot be eaten?

Order of eating crabs:

1. Eat crab legs

Eating crabs requires slow and careful work, and the best is always saved for last. The first thing to eat is the crab legs. There are eight crab legs. The meat in the legs is delicious but difficult to get. When eating crab legs, you can first eat two joints and then suck out the meat in the legs.

2. Eat crab claws

Crab claws have more meat and are relatively easier to eat. According to the old method, when eating crab claws, you need to use a small hammer to knock them open, and then pick them up with a small skewer. Modern people have long lost that reserve. The two claws are separated to the left and right, and the snow-white crab meat appears in front of you.

3. Eat crab roe

Eating crab roe is the climax of eating crab. Open the crab shell, making sure to open the lid from the top, remove the crab lungs, crab heart, crab stomach and crab intestines, bend the crab body to both sides, squeeze out the crab roe and eat it. If it is a female crab, you can eat the delicious crab roe, and if it is a male crab, you can eat the white crab roe.

4. Eat crab meat

The next step is to eat the crab meat. The meat is in petals and in a thread-like shape. You need to put half of the crab horizontally in your mouth, bite open the crab shell petal by petal, so that the large petals of crab meat can be sucked into your mouth smoothly.

Crabs are cold in nature, so people with weak spleen and stomach should try to eat less. When eating, you can dip them in ginger and vinegar juice to remove the coldness.

In addition, people with colds, fevers, stomach problems, and diarrhea should not eat crabs, otherwise their condition will worsen. People with high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, and arteriosclerosis should try to eat less crab roe to avoid increasing cholesterol. In addition, crabs should not be eaten with tea and persimmons, because the tannic acid in tea and persimmons will coagulate into indigestible lumps when meeting the protein in crabs, causing symptoms such as abdominal pain and vomiting, which is commonly known as "gastric persimmon disease."
