Types of foot skin diseases

The skin is actually a relatively fragile barrier, and the skin is very prone to some diseases. In addition to the skin on the face, the skin on people's feet is also prone to various diseases. Generally speaking, there are many types of foot skin diseases. If people want to better solve foot skin problems, then it is necessary to first understand the types of foot skin diseases.

1 Corns are one of the common skin diseases on the soles of the feet. They are caused by the long-term squeezing and friction of local skin antibodies, which leads to the proliferation of stratum corneum. The corns are embedded in the skin in the shape of a cone, and the pointed tops protrude into the dermis to compress nerve endings. Once the local area is compressed or squeezed, it will cause obvious pain. The base of the cone is round or oval on the skin surface. The pale yellow, hard spots have clear boundaries and are generally the size of soybeans.

How to prevent corns in daily life: choose suitable and loose shoes to avoid foot deformities; when you feel that a part of the foot is squeezed and rubbed, you should promptly use podiatric braces such as corn pads, toe straighteners, toe separators, toe caps, etc. to reduce friction and squeezing; when corns and calluses are formed on the soles of the feet, you can wear specific or non-specific orthopedic insoles to change the force on the soles of the feet to reduce friction; avoid using unclean knives and scissors to prevent infection. Do not remove corns or calluses by yourself. Diabetic patients, in particular, should not deal with thick calluses or corns by themselves to avoid worsening; soak your feet frequently: develop the habit of soaking your feet in hot water every night to soften corns and calluses; people should wash their feet frequently and not skip washing their feet.

2 The second common skin disease on the soles of the feet is tinea pedis: tinea pedis, also known as athlete's foot, "Hong Kong foot", and athlete's foot, is a common skin disease caused by fungi. Tinea pedis is a contact infectious disease that is often spread rapidly by sharing washbasins, foot basins, foot towels, hand towels, slippers and bathtubs. It is worth noting that due to scratching itchy areas, it is often transmitted to the hands and causes tinea manuum (tinea pedis) which is then transmitted to the crotch through the hands. When fungi grow on the nails, it causes onychomycosis (onychomycosis).

3. Measures to prevent tinea pedis in daily life: Keep feet clean and dry, and treat sweaty feet. Change your shoes and socks frequently. People with tight gaps between toes can use some straw paper to absorb moisture and allow ventilation. Shoes should be well ventilated. Do not use other people's slippers, bath towels, rags, etc. Do not walk in sewage near bathhouses or swimming pools. Public bathhouses and swimming pools should regularly treat sewage and disinfect it with bleach or chloramine. A system should be established to prevent the mutual transmission of athlete's foot. Prevent athlete's foot from being transmitted through shoe cabinets.
