Cervical cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in women, and its cause is still unclear. Women who marry early, give birth prematurely, have multiple births, and have sexual dysfunction have a higher incidence rate. There are no symptoms in the early stage, but vaginal bleeding is abnormal in the later stage. It is not only the first cancer of the female reproductive organs, but also the most common cancer among various malignant tumors in women, but there are obvious regional differences in its incidence.

Patients with cervical precancerous lesions generally have no obvious symptoms, or only have general cervicitis symptoms, such as increased vaginal discharge. Some people also complain of bloody vaginal discharge or a small amount of vaginal bleeding after sexual contact. But generally speaking, the symptoms of cervical precancerous lesions are as follows:

1. Vaginal bleeding.

Irregular vaginal bleeding is the main symptom of cervical cancer patients, especially after menopause. Vaginal bleeding can be more or less, and it is often caused by ruptured blood vessels in the tumor, especially vegetable tumors, which have early bleeding symptoms and large amounts. If bleeding is frequent, blood loss may lead to severe anemia.

2. Increased vaginal discharge.

This is the main symptom of patients with cervical cancer. It often occurs before vaginal bleeding. At first, vaginal discharge will not have any odor. As the cancer grows, secondary infection and necrosis of the cancer will increase the amount of discharge, like rice washing water or mixed with blood, and have a foul odor. When the tumor spreads upward and accumulates in the endometrium, the discharge is blocked by the cervical cancer tissue and cannot be discharged, which can form uterine effusion or uterine pyometra. Patients may experience symptoms such as lower abdominal discomfort, lower abdominal pain, back pain, and fever.

3. Frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating

When the cancer spreads forward, it will invade the bladder, and the patient will experience falls, frequent urination, urgency, pain when urinating, and hematuria. It is often misdiagnosed as a urinary tract infection, delaying diagnosis. Bladder-vaginal fistulas can form seriously. Cancer spreads backward and can invade the rectum, causing symptoms such as falling, difficulty defecating, urgency, and blood in the stool. Vaginal-rectal fistulas can further develop. Distant metastasis can occur in the late stage of the disease. Symptoms vary depending on the site of metastasis, and clavicular lymph node metastasis, nodules or masses are more common. The metastatic lesions in the corresponding parts and their corresponding symptoms can spread to distant organs through the blood vessels or lymphatic system.

4. Pain.

This is a symptom of advanced cervical cancer. The cancer extends along the tissue, invades the pelvic wall, and compresses the peripheral nerves. The clinical manifestation is persistent pain in the sciatic nerve or sacroiliac nerve. The tumor compresses or erodes the ureter, narrows the ureter, and the obstruction leads to hydronephrosis, which manifests as unilateral low back pain or even severe pain. It further develops into renal failure, leading to uremia, invasion of the lymphatic system, and edema and pain in the limb where the lymphatic vessels are blocked.
