What are the symptoms of cervical cancer? Early symptoms of cervical cancer

Cervical cancer has no symptoms in the early stages. As the disease progresses, patients may experience abnormal vaginal bleeding. Since young women are sexually active, their estrogen levels and frequency of sexual intercourse are higher, so it is more likely that bleeding during sexual intercourse will be the first symptom. In addition, increased vaginal discharge is also a common symptom of cervical cancer, accounting for about 80% of cervical cancer patients.

Common symptoms of cervical cancer

1. Vaginal bleeding: Irregular vaginal bleeding, especially contact bleeding (ie bleeding after sexual intercourse or gynecological examination) and postmenopausal vaginal bleeding are the main symptoms of cervical cancer patients. Cervical cancer bleeds earlier and more heavily.

2. Increased vaginal discharge: white and thin, watery, rice-water-like or bloody, with a fishy smell. When cancerous tissue ruptures and becomes infected, the discharge may be purulent and have a foul odor.

Early symptoms of cervical cancer

1. The early symptoms of cervical cancer are mainly limited to the cervix, and cervical cancer patients often have no symptoms until it spreads to other surrounding tissues.

2. Many cervical cancer patients have different conditions and degrees of increased leucorrhea, like water or rice water, with a fishy smell. This is one of the early symptoms of cervical cancer.

3. The early symptoms of cervical cancer are usually a small amount of bleeding after sexual intercourse or irregular menstruation or vaginal bleeding after menopause. At this time, during a gynecological examination, patients with cervical cancer will find that the surface of the cervix is smooth or eroded, hard, and easy to bleed.

4. With the development of cervical cancer and the gradual increase of tumors, the patient's vaginal discharge increases. If the cancerous tissue is necrotic and infected, more foul-smelling vaginal discharge mixed with blood will be discharged; the late stage of cervical cancer symptoms increase the amount of bleeding, and even fatal bleeding due to erosion of large blood vessels. Local tumors of cervical cancer can appear cauliflower, nodule or ulcer, and become hollow after tumor necrosis and shedding.

What should you pay attention to when you have cervical cancer symptoms:

1. Irregular vaginal bleeding: Elderly women who have been in menopause for many years suddenly have their period again for no reason. The amount of bleeding is often not much, and there is no abdominal pain, back pain and other symptoms, which are easy to be ignored. In fact, this irregular vaginal bleeding is often an early symptom of cervical cancer. Many elderly patients come to see a doctor to get early diagnosis and timely treatment, which should arouse the high vigilance of the elderly;

2. Increased vaginal discharge: Clinically, many patients have varying degrees of increased vaginal discharge, most of which manifest as increased leucorrhea. Later, they are mostly accompanied by changes in odor and color. Increased leucorrhea is caused by cancer stimulation. At first, they have a normal odor. Later, due to necrosis and infection of cancer tissue, purulent, rice-soup or bloody leucorrhea will flow out of the vagina;

3. Contact bleeding: This is the most prominent symptom of cervical cancer. Many cervical cancer patients have vaginal bleeding, which is mainly manifested by sexual intercourse or gynecological examination, or difficulty in defecation, and vaginal discharge mixed with fresh.

If a woman bleeds after sexual intercourse, she should not always think that it is caused by improper force during sexual intercourse and ignore the possibility of cervical cancer. If she bleeds every time she has sexual intercourse, she should pay more attention and seek medical attention in time.
