Will liver disease cause diarrhea

Will liver disease cause diarrhea

After liver disease occurs, people often feel very nervous because the liver is the blood-producing organ of the human body. The liver is very important, but if a disease occurs, it will affect the body's blood production and can easily lead to death. Therefore, after liver disease is discovered, the cause should be found and treated in time to prevent other disease problems from occurring. There are many types of liver diseases and the symptoms are very complicated. So will liver disease cause diarrhea?

Liver disease can cause diarrhea. Liver disease can lead to decreased liver function and decreased bile secretion ability of liver cells. The reduced bile will weaken the emulsification effect of fat, which can easily cause diarrhea.

Diarrhea is a common symptom, commonly known as "diarrhea", which means that the number of bowel movements is significantly higher than the usual frequency, the feces is thin, the water content is increased, the daily stool volume exceeds 200g, or contains undigested food or pus, blood, or mucus. Diarrhea is often accompanied by symptoms such as the urge to defecate, anal discomfort, and incontinence. Diarrhea can be divided into two categories: acute and chronic. Acute diarrhea develops rapidly and lasts for 2 to 3 weeks. Chronic diarrhea refers to recurrent diarrhea with a course of more than two months or an interval of 2 to 4 weeks.

In our daily lives, as long as we do a good job of prevention, we can effectively alleviate the occurrence of diarrhea. For example: (1) Infants and young children under 2 years old should pay special attention to hygiene conditions, promote breastfeeding, scientific care, and disinfect bottles and tableware; (2) Develop good hygiene habits, and caregivers and children should wash their hands thoroughly with soap before and after meals; (3) Ensure drinking water; (4) Do not eat spoiled food, and wash raw fruits and vegetables; (5) Avoid contact transmission between children, etc.

Through the above explanation, we can understand that liver disease can cause diarrhea. I hope friends will pay attention to good habits in daily life and stay away from the harm of the disease.
