Genetic testing for lung cancer patients is not suitable for all patients. Generally speaking, for diseases such as small cell lung cancer, there is usually no corresponding targeted drug, so genetic testing is not recommended; for diseases such as non-small cell lung cancer, especially lung adenocarcinoma, this disease is most suitable for genetic testing. The more commonly used methods for obtaining tumor tissue usually include the following three:
1. Tumor specimen <br/>Surgery is used to remove the tumor specimen, which is a relatively accurate detection method.
2. Puncture biopsy <br/>Use puncture biopsy to obtain tissue and then undergo genetic testing.
3. Liquid biopsy <br/>In this case, the cancer cells in the patient's blood or the DNA components released by the cancer cells are analyzed to determine whether the patient's tumor tissue has gene mutations. Generally speaking, liquid biopsy is less invasive and effective, and can be repeatedly sampled. However, its accuracy is not as good as that of direct tumor specimen testing.
