Is breast pain breast cancer? Not a big deal

Many women have experienced breast pain, which can be very severe. In recent years, as the incidence of breast cancer has continued to rise, people are often very nervous and worried that the pain is related to breast cancer. So is breast pain related to breast cancer?

In fact, breast pain has little to do with breast cancer. The "breast pain" that everyone feels actually includes not only the pain in the breast itself, but also often includes pain in the breast caused by other reasons. Therefore, when analyzing breast pain, the causes other than the breast should be excluded first.
(1) The most common cause of breast pain caused by reasons other than the breast is chest wall disease, such as chest trauma or muscle stretch, and costochondritis.
(2) Cyclic breast pain According to the pattern of pain, breast pain can be roughly divided into cyclical pain and non-cyclical pain. Cyclic pain is related to the menstrual period and is a reflection of the cyclical changes in hormones in the body. This pain is normal to a large extent, or physiological. Cyclic breast pain is mostly not serious, and is most severe before menstruation and gradually eases after menstruation.

The same woman may experience different degrees of pain during each cycle. Sometimes the pain is severe, and sometimes it is mild. This is because the breast has the most glands in the upper outer quadrant, and most pain is in the upper outer quadrant. The pain can be distending, stabbing, or sore. Many people also experience pain in the armpit on the same side. Because breasts are paired organs and are affected by hormones at the same time, pain occurs in both breasts at the same time. Cyclic pain mainly occurs in premenopausal women, especially before the age of 35. Most cyclical breast pain will subside on its own, and half of the pain will gradually subside due to menopause.
(3) Non-cyclical breast pain Non-cyclical breast pain has no obvious pattern in terms of time and degree. Compared with cyclical breast pain, non-cyclical breast pain deserves more attention. Most non-cyclical breast pain is also benign. Pain caused by breast cancer is rare, except in the late stage of the disease.
